the soonest I would expect one to lay would be 3yo. just keep an eye on kevin if they are mating she will lay. but if he is not interested in her she might not be ready yet.
but are you prepared ? will you hatch them in an incubator or let him do it? what will you do with the babies keep em or sell them? just curious I kept 5 of my last hatch . I now have 3 adults and 5 terror teens. and the season is starting again!
Kevin is most intersted in her this year.
You can't even go out in the pasture without him trying to stand over the top of you. He does a growl and arches his neck. He wasnt like this lkast year. Im sure he will settle down after breeding season is over. I have hatched Emus before. Thats where I got Emeu. Bought her as an eggs from CA for my mom for mothers day. Our younger ones Mom bought at an auction before we got Kevin. We are thinking is a young pair. Plan on hatching the frist few eggs then selling the others might let him sit after a while.
