Funny little chick

I went down to the basement this morning to check out my chicks. One of them was roosting on the heat lamp cord. LOL

A couple of mine like to roost on the water and food containers. They look a bit like vultures.

I caught one of my nine day olds on the water feeder so put in a little rosst made from some broom handle screwed into 2" high wood. They are terrified of it!!

How cute! I have a 7 week old that won't roost for the life of him. His mom still sits on him at night. He's almost as big as her

Now would be a good time to look over your set up to see if there is any place your chicks could roost where they might burn themselves or knock down the heat lamp (you do have it secured by two methods, right?).
