Funny pics and stories of chickens

I just walked out to the chicken yard and found my Caramel laying on her back, feet up, head sideways, and I was so worride! But when I got close she started wiggling madly, wings flapping, legs kicking, unable to get to her feet! So cute! I helped her up and she ruffled her feathers and glared at me indignantly, like "What was that for?! I could have gotten up myself!"

This one's on auto-repeat. I just love the look on his face. When someone's down, I'll share this photo and tell them, "We all end up with egg on our beaks at some point in our lives."

Ok, here's a funny story. I know this forum is old, but who knows?! Maybe someone will see it. So today I was doing chores as usual. My chickens live in a fenced in area, about the size of an acre, and it's right by the road. Our road is a dirt road, and we live in a rural part of our city, so there are lots of runners, bikers, and walkers who exercise on our street bc it's not very busy. So today, I had all my chickens let out of their coops, and they were eating, and my Mini Aussie puppy was also in the enclosure. This group of 3 runners went by our driveway, and one of them (a guy) stopped across from our house and started peeing on the side of the road. He must have not noticed me doing chores. My puppy, (who loves people), started barking at him bc he really wanted to get to this man who was on the other side of the fence. Then, all of my 40+ chickens started clucking the warning call, because the puppy was barking so loud. Then, I started yelling at my dog to stop barking, bc he was getting the chickens all riled up. The guy was super embarrassed with all these animals making animal noises, so he started running really fast, and he looked super embarrassed. LOL, serves you right dude!!!

I hope so! They have been getting closer lately. I made the mistake of rewatching all the Jurassic Park movies, lately and they all kinda remind me of the velociraptors now. If they were any bigger, i'd be scared to turn my back!
I wouldn't worry. Genetically the chicken is closer to the T-Rex. Just remember when you turn your back "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear".
