I’ve been “flipping” furniture for the past year and wanted to show some of my work.
Feel free to share your own furniture flips.

My mom and I refinished an old dresser a few years ago for Mom's sewing room. It was HARD and we almost gave up. When we bought it it had been sitting in a musty barn for who knows how long and it took months of time and work to remove the very strong smell from the inside. We sanded, scrubbed and cleaned with pine-sol, applied multiple coats of odor-killing primer AND shellac, and placed charcoal inside to soak up the smell. After all of that it still smells weird, but it doesn't fill the whole room anymore.

We painted it with leftover paint samples. It used to be a dark green.

Very nice. It is very hard to get rid of musty smells. Sounds like you used every trick but sometimes it is what it is.

I am going to get started soon on refinishing a sewing table I bought a couple weeks ago. I'd been focusing on the machine inside of it instead of the table, but I'd like it in the house instead of the garage soon. The only problem is getting the machine out in order to do the table.

The green desk above was a sewing table. Taking the machine out makes it much lighter too. Good luck on you project post updates here as you go.
