~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

(Russ said Sullivan. Oops. I’m gonna pretend that was totally on purpose.)
“Rodger that,” Russ said with a grin-in reply to the Sulliver comment. As he had said before, he really hated Sulliver, and he was somewhat grateful that they weren’t going to have to cooperate with him. Still, the opportunity that Cement had was intriguing. She could probably manage to work with him if she wanted, being somewhat of a relation.
“I’m sure it won’t be that bad. It’s not like Sulliver can bend that thing to his will or anything. It might turn on him and take out a few of his own, though...”
Cement nodded. But she still had her worries. However, talking to Russet had eased her a bit. They would be able to get through this, one way or another. “Let’s go talk to Suliver.” She said. She crouched, then hopped into the air, and they were off.

Russet followed Cement to wherever they were going.

Cement flew to the top of a school building. She landed with some murmured coos of acknowledgement from the gang members. She contented herself with waiting for Suliver, trying not to think about her worries. Despite herself, they crept into her mind like a cat upon a sparrow.

Russet landed beside her, ignoring the glares from the one pigeon hen, composing himself but also alert for anyone who would threaten Cement.

*timeskip to morning*

Rocket stretched one wing over her leg, then both wings over her head. Afterwards, she taped Nanako repeatedly. “Wake up!” She cooed insistently.

A group of pigeons appeared in the sky. The small flock gradually got bigger as they approached, and soon the birds on the roof could clearly hear their wing-beats.
They landed on the rough roofing, and Suliver stepped out from the middle of the crowd. With freshly preened feathers and shiny new razor-talons on, he was an intimidating figure. He deliberately ignored the other gang leader, instead walking over to confer with a high ranking guard. After a few exchanged coos, he went over to a nearby vent, where the gull was being kept prisoner. Though Suliver tried not to show it, he was impressed. He slowly made his way back to Cement and Russet.
“Well done, sister.” He cooed. “Though I’ll say that I didn’t expect it of you, I am glad that you’ve chosen me as your ally.” His words, normally so cold and unyielding, seemed as smooth as honey. It unsettled Cement, but she kept her expression blank. These don’t sound like his words.
“Well, what do you want to know?”

Russet stiffened, wondering whether Sulliver would take it well if Cement’s lowly mate replied. Well, if we’re going to be allies, he’s gonna have to get used to it.
“Why do you plan to assassinate General One Toe?” he asked, keeping his voice even. Maybe he was supposed to bring it up more subtly, maybe Sulliver wasn’t in on a an assassination after all. But subtle wasn’t Russet’s style.

*nanako had already been awake and had her eyea closed listening to whats around them.*

Cement’s eyes widened and she glanced at Russet, but she quickly regained her composure, staring with unreadable eyes at Suliver.
Surprise decorated Suliver’s face. He stared at Russet more closely. So he’s not as stupid as he looks. He thought wryly, but refrained from saying that out loud. She had told him to be polite. Suliver recalled her words- They might have information we need. We can’t afford to scare them away.
“You figured that out quickly.”
“The answer is simple.” The gang leader continued, “Me.. and my allies want control of the pigeon military to rule in the rightful way of the past Generals.”

(They aren’t near Suliver, Cement, and Russet, if that’s what you’re referring to.)
Rocket fluffed our her feathers. “That was some chase, right?!”

(One of Russet’s many great abilities is looking stupid. He could probably use that to his advantage, lol.)
“And what way was that?” Russet asked. “Some kind of imperious behavior that the general isn’t carrying out well enough? Are you not killing enough gulls who were simply too dumb to remember the borders we imposed on them?”
A female pigeon gave a sinister smile. “The gulls have brooded a generation of stupidity, and if we cull through it, it only benefits them,” she spat.
