Bagel Bite spontaneously flew out of the tree in the opposite direction of which the pigeons were facing, as if he was fleeing the scene. He soared away until he was just a silhouette on the horizon. But - after some time you could see him turning around, and his silhouette becoming bigger and bigger. After picking up quite a bit of speed, he lowered himself until he was gliding only a few inches from the ground. He was still getting closer, and he was coming up behind them.

He lowered his beak to the ground and crashed into Shard with the top of his skull, hitting her in the spot right between the wings. It sent them both flying into a tree trunk and kicked dust up everywhere. Just a second before impact he let out an ear-piercing squawk that was closer to a scream - the kind that only gulls can do.

(If any of you have problems with this, like if it's unrealistic or something, let me know and I'll change it.)

Moonlight flew for him while he was prone, slicing his wing with her iron heel.
"Next time I strike, you won't be able to use that wing," she growled softly, eyes blazing like twin suns.

He flapped his wings vigorously to knock her back (if that makes sense). He was standing on top of Shard like she was a dead log, with one foot holding her wings and the other on her neck. He was nearly twice her size. "You come near me again and I'll turn her into roadkill." He hissed, pressing down on her throat. His wing was bleeding, and a claw mark had made its way down his back.

(I'm sorry @RoostersAreAwesome if I didn't let your character react, it's just you never responded)

She attempted to slice a tendon on his wing, so he couldn't fly.

(Okay, let's try and be more specific from now on, should we keep going on with the fight or should we wait for OldEnglish, Spicey, and Roosters to come back? And on a completely different note, while it's not for me to decide I think Shard may have a broken bone or two, just because of the speed and impact, but it's still Rooster's choice.)
