~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

(It’s like, all greyish. I agree that’s a nice avy)
General One-Toe, who’d always looked beat up, looked helplessly mutilated now. She seemed so small and scrawny in a pile of her own bloody feathers, wing flopping over her one-toed foot.
Too think she had been so terrifying. So powerful. Now, humbled.
She was always better off dead. And yet I’m saving her now! As long as Cement would, Russet would too. He dove towards the General and was tackled by a gang member with razor talons. Russet had no weapons of his own. It wasn’t right to bring them to a Meet unless you were a lieutenant.
Russet tumbled to the roof. The other bird was on top, standing on his chest.
The bird lifted his leg and slashed towards his jugular.
Russet flapped his wings enough to deflect the blow with his primaries. He squeezed his eyes shut and the bird’s beak jabbed him painfully on the eyelid.
He began to roll over as his enemy raised his talons again.
(Huh, maybe try pressing this?)

Cement abandoned all efforts to protect One-Toe or distract the hawk and flew at Russet’s opponent, bowling him over onto the roof. She slapped him with her wing before he could get his bearings and pecked at the feathers on his head with her beak, managing to grab some skin. She shook her head viciously, still wing-slapping her victim, who could barely use his razor-talons in his position.

Dusty, having vanquished his last opponent, flew at the next, slashing at his breast with the shards of glass tied to his toes. When the other pigeon flew backwards and faced him, Dusty felt his heart drop. It was his brother, Spruce, who had joined Suliver’s gang. The two stared at each other for a moment before Spruce let out an angry coo and flew towards Dusty, razor-talons out.

Shard wing-slapped pigeons from the roof, not able to fly well enough to fight them in the air. “Come down here and fight me, you cowards!” She screeched.

Where is Moonlight? Shard wondered, trying to locate her through the cloud of birds.

Cloud, the very hawk who had almost succeeded in killing the General, stood still, not sure of what to do. He was told to kill the one-toed pigeon. But they hadn’t been very specific on what else he should do. He considered flying away right now, but he wasn’t entirely sure whether the one-toed pigeon was dead yet or not.

As Cloud was thinking, a dove-grey pigeon flew at him, trying to cut at his eyes with her razor-talons. He screeched and flapped his wings, in the air again. He grabbed the pigeon with his talons and tore her crop open, ending the life of the ever-so-loyal Rikka.

Cement’s opponent finally fled, and she ran to Russet’s side. “Are you okay?” She asked quietly, worried eyes scanning his body for injuries. She took a moment to glance around. Members of her gang were dropping fast. She felt a deep well of despair rise up in her chest. Where are the gulls?

*nanako, who was trying to process what the heck was going on and who was who, looked quickly at the pigeon that was diving at her, thinking quickly, she tucked her wings for a barrell roll to avoide her attacker.*
“Wow! Nice move.” Rocket said, following Nanako to the surface of the roof.

Nanako: thanks, found it's good for avoiding dive bombing hawks and eagles. *she flew down quickly to a dead pigeon and took off it some glass to better defend herself with.*

(Wondering what the humans think seeing this going on :))
(Hopefully they can’t see anything since the pigeons are on a roof XD)

Rocket looked around. “Hey, isn’t that your friend?” She asked, pointing with a wing at a pigeon that looked like Dane. The pigeon was facing off two others, and seemed like he might be overwhelmed.

Could I make a hawk??)

*nanako had seen him just as she mentioned him.*

Nanako: yea, that's him! *she quickly attached the glass to her foot and flew for him.*

*dane did indeed find himself surrounded on the roofs and was trying to break free of the situation.*

(It doesn’t work. I’ll start a thread. It’s been an issue for a while now.)
Moonlight was heading out. As much as being a Lieutenant had been fun and getting the recognition and purpose had been nice, it wasn’t worth losing her life over. She was loyal to a point. But she saw no hope for the General in this situation.
True to her blood, she flew high, high above the others and spent some time among the clouds. In the emptiness, she had time to think. Should she flee the city altogether? She had the stamina. Should she appeal to the new, inevitable overlord that would emerge from the instability? Well, maybe. But it looked like Sulliver was winning, and he already had lieutenants sucking up to him. But she was more loyal, generally. He probably didn’t care. General One-Toe brought order and Sulliver bred chaos. No. Moonlight would not follow him.
~
“I’m fine,” said Russet, though his eyelid was bleeding into his eye and creating a rather grievous sight.

(It’s pretty late to be making new characters, why do you want to make a hawk?)

Rocket tackled the pigeon to the left of Dane, pecking them in the face.

“You—”
Cement was interrupted when a pigeon jumped on top of her. She thrashed away, but she felt glass slice at her back. Clenching her beak against the pain, Cement turned to see her opponent. It was Suliver himself.

“Sister!” Suliver growled, advancing upon her. One of his thugs was battling with Russet. “Why would you betray me?”

Cement backed up, assessing her surroundings as she did so. “Doesn’t matter.” She replied gruffly. Cement wasn’t one to monologue. She threw herself at Suliver and backed him into a cement wall, hitting him hard with her wings.

Because there's only one hawk and I thought he might need a companion)

*dane fluttered out of the encirclement when she created an opening.*

*nanako huffed and tackled a pigeon that was about to go after rocket.*

Russet battled furiously against his armed attacker with a serious of quick pecks and wing beats.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Sulliver scratch his beloved mate.
“Cement!” he cooed, turning in her direction, leaving an opening for his attacker. He slashed towards Russet’s neck, but missed, cutting a small gouge in Russet’s crop (which wasn’t inflated for once).
Russet cried out and jumped back, staring at the hole in his chest. Fluffy bits of popcorn and water leaked out. “Hehe,” he said, smiling at the perpetrator and laughing in an unbalanced way. “It’s a good thing I didn’t have much for breakfast. It seems the effort would have been wasted.”
He took another step back.
He thrust into the air
Then he hurled himself towards Sulliver, torn digestive organ and all. He didn’t see this as Cement’s fight. His mate was in danger, and Sulliver was a horrible pigeon who needed to go down. Simple as that.
“Poetic, eh, Sulliver?” he said, slamming Sulliver up against the wall. “All your scheming, only for you to hit a CEMENT wall. Too bad your name couldn’t be used in a metaphor, maybe then you could get out of this situation.”
