I went and checked the calendar again...I was mistaken. The 21st day is FRIDAY, not tomorrow.

I do understand that chicks can't count to 21, that they will hatch when THEY are ready, not according to the calendar. They could hatch tomorrow, or Saturday, or not at all...


The eggs were placed in the incubator the evening of the third

Humidity holding at 60% as of 5:45am...no sign of pipping.

I woke up in the middle of the night for a "nature call", and then walked out to the den to check on the incubator...

My last batch hatched exactly one day late.

Incubator holding at 60%, 100°F. Nothing noticeable.

Tamar still sitting on eggs. Nothing noticeable.

I woke up early and when I walked into the den I heard chirping!
