Had a wonderful day today at Fowl Fest with Rusty Byrd. So here we are, two old women going down the road at 6 am hahahaha. She's so crazy LOL. My kind of people !!!! She has some NICE birds too Nice coop also.. They had sooo many birds at Fowl Fest. I found some Silver Silkies that I want real bad !!!! Have to call the guy on Monday to see if he sold them all. Hope not. He wanted $50.00 for a trio and had 2 trio's but if he didn't sell them he will let me have them all for $80.00. Woo Hoo . And Nova.....I also talked to him about some REAL NICE looking Tolbunts he has. Yessss. Going to get
some !!! $100.00 per pair but they are nice. I know this guy as I have done business with him before.

I have a couple of pics of the Silkies but I need to get them off my phone and put them on the computer before I can upload them. I should have taken some of the Tolbunts too. If I go up to buy the Silkies I will get pics of the Tolbunts also.

It has started raining again. I am happy it is not supposed to be too cold over night. Some of them are soaked. I am tempted to put in a the heat lamp...

I want to cut one of the roost out of the coop tomorrow. It is screwed in from behind the walls. I am going to have to cut them out, thru the screws. SO, If I get a bi-metal blade, is that what I need? I want to put the one up higher than where it is now, and also put in another one. I have a few birds that roost right over top of one of the nest boxes, I wasn't thinking to clearly when I actually built the coop. In other words, my bad. LOL. I just need to put another 4 footer in. I also need to spend a day taking the roosts down in the summer coop, then putting in 2x4 roosts in a different configuration. They are roosting on 2x1's now, but want the bigger roosts in there for the winter. AND I don't want them where I have to keep ducking my head to go around them. LOL. They are currently criss-crossed all over.

Going to start getting the materials I need for the roof also. That is going to be fun. Not really, but it is going to make it so nice to have a secured area for the winter that will be snow free. Anyone feeling extra handy? HEHE

Enjoyed my time with Robin at Fowl Fest . Saw some large fowl orpingtons that made me

but of course they weren't for sale.
I sure was tuckered out got a fire going in the fireplace, it was nice to take the damp chill out, then took a nap on the couch. All nice and warm and cozy. What a feeling!

Haha, and we only get sneakier with age! :plbb. We went shopping the other day and I ended up sneaking in two Jumbo bags of Halloween Kit-Kats and a couple other things. My dad didn't even know until I was eating them at home.
