Yes babies are growing. I had to update their digs today, still small but a bit bigger.
I also sprung a leak in the corner of my coop today. The week of winds then the day of rain did it in. So i need to think of roofing options, too. I don't have the money, but what i really want is to run 2x2's across the roof and put down corrogated sheeting. If i used the current square roof vents, but took off the stupid plastic tops, and made sure to put hardware cloth up, it would be good permanent ventelation without worrying about wind blowing in What i'm gonna get for now is a bigger tarp.

I have a date this evening, it's called being worried sick to my stomach over these blasted eggs moving to and fro! I should have left them in the carton - at least then they could move around and I wouldn't have noticed.

This was my last candling night (lockdown is tomorrow morning).

Does it mean what I think it means when the egg is sort of 'cloudy' looking and there is a big black blob that looks like it is resting against the side of the egg?

This one is my only Silkie that was left after all its siblings quit on me. The veins have never been visible on this egg, but it was bouncing around all over the place three days ago. It's now just a black blobby looking thing ..sort of laying against the shell it looks like.

Im in lock down wqth the pekins or rather i put them in lockdown cause i was unsire of dates but know its close enough to do that .... sometimes black blob is a sometimes black blob is just a baby you can no longer candle thru or at least that has been my experience with my weak poc candler... good luck either way !!! hope ya have a decent hatch !!!
