I gotta go get things done. I have been lazy enough today...

First though... I was just looking at the Northern Chicken thread... and there was a girl on there with button quail... So pretty! Can those live in a house? I really want birds in the house again... They are so sweet! I guess I could build an aviary inside and put the evil Mr. Fritz the Jerk and Blackie in there... Have house chickens for the winter... HEHE

Yes they can live in a house. Button quail are small and hey, my quail are pretty too LOL

Wow, I guess it's time to go fill in more dirt bath holes. My lakenvelder's right out the living room window and all I can see is the occasional flash of white........ I SWEAR I just filled that one in......

Nova, others, no birds for me until spring!!! I know i want them, but can't have them! The only exception i may have to make is the hen i believe to be cocoas mom, i will know when i look at her nose.........i have been pondering whether my sewing machine could handle canvas or not, really don't know! It was advertised able to handle denim, but it's an off brand and my mom advised against the denim........so i guess if it were a lighter canvas??

Ooy. Stooped over; helped DH clean his pepper plants of all their tiny peppers. He has hundreds of pepper plants, all the hottest! We finally got frosted last night.

Anyone wanna be burned??? He has some dry spice that is preeeeeety potent. lol
just a few of the peppers that have come through the house this month.......

I am starting a new thread... Not for chit chat though... I am posting the article that I have revised and am going to look for opinions. I don't want to post it here on Fuzzy's Farm, because it is in its entirety. I did cut a lot out, cut it down... The original was pages and pages long... Bigger than I could have gotten accepted.... It'll be called my first year with chickens...

Nova -- I haven't been paying attention, so maybe I'm reading you wrong, but you're writing an article you'd like to get published? If so do NOT post it here, you lose options for traditional publishing when any draft has been published in any capacity -- especially here where certain copyright permissions are assumed by BYC.
