I have not done anything but watch videos, search the internet for nothing... I do mean nothing. Look out the back window, the birds are all hiding in dry places... LOL.

I have washing to do... but, I haven't cuz its raining anyway. I need to take the heaters out. Gonna get quite chilly tomorrow in the house...

First though... I was just looking at the Northern Chicken thread... and there was a girl on there with button quail... So pretty! Can those live in a house? I really want birds in the house again... They are so sweet! I guess I could build an aviary inside and put the evil Mr. Fritz the Jerk and Blackie in there... Have house chickens for the winter... HEHE

About 2 1/2...she hadn't really been looking so good lately, and hadn't laid in awhile....but she was JUST broken of broodiness. I'm going to look her over better tonight, I just couldn't do it right now.........

Hi Everyone! Good to be back - so much has gone on that it took me 30 min just to get caught up - LOL!

Nova - weather is HOT! Mid 90's for the last week through tomorrow but then supposed to break and get into high 80's for next week. I'm SO ready for fall weather. It is nice in the evenings and the chicks and goats don't want to go into coop/barn. They chase each other around and the goats play on their toys so everyone is happy it's cooling a bit. The ladies are loving it and we are getting 9-10 eggs a day from 10 hens so they are happy.

Oooo! i almost forgot to tell you guys that i *may* have gotten my first cookie egg! It could be a fluke, but the egg in question seemed a deeper grayer blue, vs the light greenish blue of princess............. i did see cookie showing more interest in eggs and nests, and her comb seems redder

It would be easier to tell if it wasn't fall and princess wasn't slowing down. Once these babies hatch i will be able to be out there more and actually try to catch her "in the act"
