Fuzzy's Farm

three were perfectly formed babies in hatching position with the most severe crossbeaks I ever saw. They couldnt pip. Cant even call it crossbeak. The top and bottom beak were more like side by side;

what on earth causes that? so sad.
I would get ahold of whoever you got those eggs from and let them know. Now if you breed the ones you have would those babies have a chance of being cross beaks?
Poor babies!
Glad you got 5 out of them!

No seizures!

The kids I watch have snotty noses again... WTH? Why do they have to bring their crud over here?

Now my son has a cough. He just got over a double ear infection... now crud! Errg! He was almost never sick before they started bringing their illnesses over. I think their kids get sick so often because they have older girls in school bringing it home...

I don't think Nugget will make it much longer... or he will have to be culled. He was much worse today and wanted to eat but his head is under his wing now. I held him and massaged his neck upward to a better position to eat and drink... I can't do that every couple of hours everyday. I hope he got some vitamins in him today that will help. I made him eggs with some of my womens vit all crushed up because they were the only things I had with B1 vit in them...
If he is worse/ not improved tomorrow I think he will have to be culled. I don't want him to starve.

No one can say you didn't love your roo. Poor guy, it was just rotten luck for him.

BYFM, do you give your son vitamins? I know of adult things vitamin/herb wise to take to prevent and head off ickies but not for kids :( I am going to start on a regime again soon, when i get my first check. I have been taking multi's and prenatals since i was 16, these last few years without has really made a difference! It will be nice to get my zip back. 2 i get from swanson vitamins, the "soil based organisms" and the mangosteen. The first one has all the digestive enzymes, trace minerals, and really effective cultures. I was able to drink milk again after the first bottle! And that was years ago!! The second is the mangosteen, it is to ward off inflammation in the body (diabetes and high blood pressure). Incidentally it is really awsome for the complexion :D

I still have to settle on the vitamin.
I used to like mason's stress formula, which had zinc in it, but they discontinued the zinc one and now just have the plain. :( The zinc helps me not get colds, especially in cough drop form, and for the flu i try to have a bottle of colloidal silver on hand. If you put some squirts under your tongue when you first start feeling nauseous it will head it off; except for that swine flu the one year...............wasn't nothing helping with that......................ugh. Not a cheap med, though, it is around $20 for a couple ounces but you don't use very much and not getting the flu is priceless !

Back for a quick min, i have been searching about "eleuthro" aka siberian ginsing, which is in the celestial tea's "tension tamer" i have been drinking away on. It is supposed to be calming, and i have to say that it lives up to it for me. Also seems to improve clarity too, so i wanted to find out more. Apparently it's a health tonic too! Nice!

Along the way i found this http://akeejaho.hubpages.com/hub/BipolarIts-a-conspiracy that brought a smile to me this morning. Nova, pay particular attention to the caption under the dog, lol. lol............. She has a similar writing style as well. :D Note that siberian ginsing/ eleuthro is very different from the other ginsings! I may have to add this to the list, i like the tea but i also like the idea of a standardised dose.

I also saw studies that used the liquid form, a drop or two, on kids in their milk. Supposed to help greatly with resperitory illnesses. Hmm. Have to look into it more later, that would be neat to finally have something that kids can take! I know they can drink valarian tea too, for hyperactivity, but idk about health benefits???

back to the coffee and now i have to get serious about getting ready this a.m., lol.

I do give my son muti vitamins and we were giving him vitamin C until we ran out. We will have to get more this weekend.
Funds are low this week because BF can't keep track of his bank account... and I had to put $80 into his account

What would you think was going on if your BF/DH wouldn't sit down with you to make a budget for bills and food...then fun? Me thinks he is spending more money on himself than he wants me to know about...

I have 2 herbal books if you want me to look up anything. Not that you can't google everything.

I just don't know what to do for poor Nuggeter...
