Fuzzy's Farm

Don't forget, we want toad licking video.

That role reversal can be a real witch with some guys. Some like it, some don't. Sometimes it can not be helped and the guy needs to just man up and deal with it, accept it. If he can't, then he knows what he has to do.

Well come on down, my friend! Just tell me when so I can get out a folding chair for you, too! :)

And excuse the dog hair- betcha all my cats will love you too. I wont even feed you to a sabertooth tiger like you did, me!
I hate cats !!!! That was funny though when that cat bit you. That's what you get for trying to feed it or touch it or whatever you were doing hahahaha

I think Kayla has whiplash.

I think this severe pain in the back of her head and the front of her head is from her head thrashng(front and back) for the billion seizures she has had over the past four days.

LOL, I am so old school. I still have a cheap-o flip phone that really doesn't do squat. LOL. I am happy with it though since I don't use it but when I am at work or taking pictures real quick of stuff.
LOL, that's all we have. It makes phone calls................but that's all we need it for anyways....................
Seems we have a fox issue now. Well, I don't, but the neighbor does. They thought it was a hawk taking the birds, but he just caught a fox in the act of trying. They've lost 3 including their little D'uccle cross. Anyway, he was out to bury his little dog, she was old and passed away last night, and while he was digging the hole he saw it before it saw him. Well, now he know what took out some of his girls and ripped the tail out of one of the buffs last week. I think I mentioned that here, that one of his BO's came to visit along with a few other birds and were hanging out in my coops and run a few days in a row and I thought one of my birds had beat up one of his birds... Well, now we know. Maybe that is why my silkies were hiding in the garage last night behind the old washer machine....

Well anyway, time for the bigger trap...
Hope you can catch it.....................
you are a big goof, Robin!
I wish I was heading out to your house today. Or Saturday;
Husband is going bow-hunting for the day. :(
I would have him meet you but Id love to take this opportunity to invite myself one day the FOLOWING weekend to bring the girls to you. But if its only 20 degrees out, you will have to meet us somewhere so I dont freeze to death.

Hey...go check on the rabbit and make sure she is fed and watered.

It took the landlord of the house next door exactly ONE day to discover my chickens today. He is there doing repairs and was out in the backyard next door- and said to me, "What kind of chickens do you have back there?"

So with city inspectors and realtors and etc crawling all over the place I think I better just keep my showgirls and my bittie ones. Cuz I can hide Bird and Chicken Little (heck, THEY hide themselves very well on their own). I do believe I heard someone crowing while I was out there fudging around talking to the landlord. A new 'dont know how to crow yet' crow. darn.

I really want to burst into tears, but that wont do any good. I just have to plan on keeping little quiet illegals.

My daughter had a seizure at five am this morning, but I have kept her so drugged today, all she has done is slept. I I took her to my moms house for her to watch her while I worked. She is sleeping now.

I have FIVE quail. pbbbllltttt. I told the others I expect them to hatch. jerk eggs.

I hope your DD starts feeling better soon. I can't even imagine............
Quote: Whew! You know your stuff. I will think on it. How is it that you don't need a whole book? I would like to say another year, but i have to go over breads and cookies yet. I am only doing just the basic make from scratch things, and how to cook the meats.......It bothers me that in cookbooks you can't cook a pork chop without a can of something or at least 12 spices! I figure if anyone wants exotic spicing or recipies they can get creative on their own. I want simple everyday items that don't cost a ton to make! And why do they leave out the meat temps? Sheesh.

Cool! That definitely something a lot of people (including our family) would enjoy.

with something like a cookbook wouldn't i have to worry about plagarism? It takes a lot of time and testing to get a recipe right. I look to the standard box favorites for what people expect for taste/flaver/texture. I search old books, the net for similar recipies and start working from there. Once i find what "makes them tick" then i can alter away :)

Like the cake; lots of people prefer the box to homemade because it's so light and fluffy, easy to make. I have made tons of cakes, and the home recipies are usually too heavy and take a lot of work. The recipes i have been working on aren't as light as the box, but are soft and moist, and velvety. Best of all, made with oil so it's a quick stir and bake :) I kinda think i like it "in between" better! More moist and don't need an avalanche of frosting! "Cake" took 3 years! Still working on variations!

Brownies are the ultimate, no one has been able to crack the secret of what makes the paper crinkle on the top of the boxed ones.........I came sooooooooooo close once! Cooks illustrated said they did, but their recipe didn't work for me, and several others had wrote in on this as well. Now something like that secret would sell in itself, but then i have to worry about competitors!
Mmmmmm, now I want brownies.................

got a developing question. Dont know if you all know or can help- but I would like to know so that I can learn.

Total hatched quail was 5.
The early three were starting to sound desperate in their peeps so I opted to open the bator- and get them in the brooder.
I moved all five, then selected egg by egg. I listened first, nothing. No tapping, no peeps. and I opened them one by one.

Of nine eggs-
six were stinky rotten- either real early quitters or never fertile (shipped eggs)

three were perfectly formed babies in hatching position with the most severe crossbeaks I ever saw. They couldnt pip. Cant even call it crossbeak. The top and bottom beak were more like side by side;

what on earth causes that? so sad.

That really sucks. The five you have are super cute though!
hitting the hay, my first day tomorrow in the early a.m. ! excited and scared. I hope DH calms down about all this, he isn't really thrilled at all. I thought he'd be happy!
You'll be fine.

LOL, I've been looking at it but haven't posted yet. Yeah, I've gotten some good laughs from that. My favorite is the chicken in the bird bath.

she is so funny..

she woke with a bad headache back of head, front of head. Severe. I gave her her meds. She had to wait about twenty minutes and came in to the kitchen. SO happy to have food. She was eating, got about halfway through and says "Why is there SOO much of it?" lol. Her appetite is not what it used to be.

So she is talking about sleep. She has only slept all day. She says "i LOVE sleep". "The good dreamless 'i love my pillow' sleep".
I am going to go back there- to my sleep.

And back to her bed she went.
