Fuzzy's Farm

Gigi... she comes back just start feeding her the good food and she'll stick around. Doesn't sound like they will miss her much anyway. Did someone say somewhere that possession is 9/10Th of the law?
I think that's exactly what we are going to do.

I'm so with you on that, Robin. People shouldn't have animals if they are going to treat them badly.

My book says B6 can reduce the frequency and severity of attacks.
Chamomile and rose are antispasmodic and a relaxant (aromatherapy)

If you are prone to attacks it says to drink elecampane...
hu.gif
... daily
Durring mild attacks it says grindelia, hyssop, wild cherry bark, and motherwart will help.
Timeric has a bronchodiatory effect and can be sprinkled in warm water to be sipped.
Thanks so much BYFM. I've battled this since last May when I had pneumonia. I'm tired of using my inhaler 3-4 times a day and don't think it's that good of a thing to do. I'm willing to try all of the above but have heard of the elecampane before so may try to find that. It probably didn't help that I raised the chicks in the library and am still battling dust from them - lol. Maybe I'll just start pulling books off and wiping them down individually but whew what a job that will be - ha.

How is everyone doing there? I hope okay!

BYFM, so sorry about Nugget. :hugs. Sometimes there's just not much you can do. :hugs

Gigi, if and when that cat comes back: KIDNAP IT!!! People like that shouldn't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER (takes a breath) EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER OWN ANIMALS!!!!! There's no excuse, take that poor kitty!!!

Mom, hoping we made it safely through the night. :fl

It is freakin' windy today. I don't like wind..........*grumble, grumble*
:he
Oh, and my IDIOT Weimaraner tried to kill a pullet last night. The poor girl was sleeping on an Adirondack chair, and Stella tried to grab her. It scared the pullet, she slipped and ended up upside down with her leg stuck in the slats of the chair. I found her within 5 minutes, but, ugh, I'm about to kill that dog. No wounds on the bird, but it must have been traumatic. All that stupid dog does is scare the animals and bark at the good dogs. :rant. I regret ever insisting on the girl puppy. Stupid 7 year old mind, I was dumb back then.

Well, the wannabe barn cat is back at her original home.
hit.gif
She belongs to the people who own the farm to our east. We took her back to them last night and it was very disturbing. They were very nonchalant and said that she just runs wild wherever she wants. Now I know real barn cats do that but I also know these people don't take care of their animals - they are ones that have animals just to have them but not take care of them.
This is how we got our first barn cat. She belonged to our neighbor, as well, but they didn't care for her. My kids started feeding her and playing with her and she never left.

byfm, sorry about Nugget.

WELL JUST A QUICK CHECK IN FOR NOW .. BACK TO CLEANING MY ROOM ITS A DIASATER AREA AND HAVING TINY HAS OT HELPED LOL ...

i HOPE EVERYTHING WENT OK FOR EVERYONE

i AM SORRY TO HEAR NUGGET IS NOT ANY BETTER !!!

ILL BE AROUND .... LATERS

Seems we have a fox issue now. Well, I don't, but the neighbor does. They thought it was a hawk taking the birds, but he just caught a fox in the act of trying. They've lost 3 including their little D'uccle cross. Anyway, he was out to bury his little dog, she was old and passed away last night, and while he was digging the hole he saw it before it saw him. Well, now he know what took out some of his girls and ripped the tail out of one of the buffs last week. I think I mentioned that here, that one of his BO's came to visit along with a few other birds and were hanging out in my coops and run a few days in a row and I thought one of my birds had beat up one of his birds... Well, now we know. Maybe that is why my silkies were hiding in the garage last night behind the old washer machine....

Well anyway, time for the bigger trap...
Ewww foxies...smack 'em with a fox-swatter!
you are a big goof, Robin!
I wish I was heading out to your house today. Or Saturday;
Husband is going bow-hunting for the day. :(
I would have him meet you but Id love to take this opportunity to invite myself one day the FOLOWING weekend to bring the girls to you. But if its only 20 degrees out, you will have to meet us somewhere so I dont freeze to death.

Hey...go check on the rabbit and make sure she is fed and watered.

It took the landlord of the house next door exactly ONE day to discover my chickens today. He is there doing repairs and was out in the backyard next door- and said to me, "What kind of chickens do you have back there?"

hide.gif

So with city inspectors and realtors and etc crawling all over the place I think I better just keep my showgirls and my bittie ones. Cuz I can hide Bird and Chicken Little (heck, THEY hide themselves very well on their own). I do believe I heard someone crowing while I was out there fudging around talking to the landlord. A new 'dont know how to crow yet' crow. darn.

I really want to burst into tears, but that wont do any good. I just have to plan on keeping little quiet illegals.

My daughter had a seizure at five am this morning, but I have kept her so drugged today, all she has done is slept. I I took her to my moms house for her to watch her while I worked. She is sleeping now.

I have FIVE quail. pbbbllltttt. I told the others I expect them to hatch. jerk eggs.
.hush egg time maybe?
with something like a cookbook wouldn't i have to worry about plagarism? It takes a lot of time and testing to get a recipe right. I look to the standard box favorites for what people expect for taste/flaver/texture. I search old books, the net for similar recipies and start working from there. Once i find what "makes them tick" then i can alter away :)

Like the cake; lots of people prefer the box to homemade because it's so light and fluffy, easy to make. I have made tons of cakes, and the home recipies are usually too heavy and take a lot of work. The recipes i have been working on aren't as light as the box, but are soft and moist, and velvety. Best of all, made with oil so it's a quick stir and bake :) I kinda think i like it "in between" better! More moist and don't need an avalanche of frosting! "Cake" took 3 years! Still working on variations!

Brownies are the ultimate, no one has been able to crack the secret of what makes the paper crinkle on the top of the boxed ones.........I came sooooooooooo close once! Cooks illustrated said they did, but their recipe didn't work for me, and several others had wrote in on this as well. Now something like that secret would sell in itself, but then i have to worry about competitors!
You had to say brownies, didn't you. :( Plagiarism is fickle...loads of recipe books have the exact same recipes in them and they haven't had any plugs pulled on their existence. I'm not sure how they work that, but it seems to me that if they can't tell who wrote a certain recipe then there's not much they can do about it.=/
Well come on down, my friend! Just tell me when so I can get out a folding chair for you, too! :)

And excuse the dog hair- betcha all my cats will love you too. I wont even feed you to a sabertooth tiger like you did, me!
... someone has a Saber tooth as a pet??
I would get ahold of whoever you got those eggs from and let them know. Now if you breed the ones you have would those babies have a chance of being cross beaks?
Poor babies!
Glad you got 5 out of them!

No seizures!

The kids I watch have snotty noses again... WTH? Why do they have to bring their crud over here?
somad.gif
Now my son has a cough. He just got over a double ear infection... now crud! Errg! He was almost never sick before they started bringing their illnesses over. I think their kids get sick so often because they have older girls in school bringing it home...

I don't think Nugget will make it much longer... or he will have to be culled. He was much worse today and wanted to eat but his head is under his wing now. I held him and massaged his neck upward to a better position to eat and drink... I can't do that every couple of hours everyday. I hope he got some vitamins in him today that will help. I made him eggs with some of my womens vit all crushed up because they were the only things I had with B1 vit in them...
If he is worse/ not improved tomorrow I think he will have to be culled. I don't want him to starve.
I hope your son gets better soon...and I'm sorry Nugget isn't improving. Rough time for you right now. =(
BYFM, so sorry about Nugget.

I LOVE Weimaraners oohhh you lucky ducky!

As for me I'm depressed. 8 active eggs went into lockdown, only 4 hatched. My husband and his visiting sister did eggtopsies on the other 4 and all 4 of them had "innards" on their outside. The good news is that the 4 chicks that did hatch are beautiful beyond all reasoning, and their 'skin people' are SO gonna like them a lot. :) They are eating their starter and drinking their water this morning on their own (didn't do the beak thing).

Sorry about the other eggs CC. That's why I like to be gone when my hen's eggs hatch, no worrying. Even better when they hide, then I never know how many didn't make it. Just that the one's she has now did. I was a wreck when I was actually around for a hatch...............

Our friend's Weimaraners are the best. But ours..........let's just say I regret not getting the male. She was the ONLY girl and I just HAD to have her.........:he
