Fuzzy's Farm

For people who may be interested, I am reading a book called Living On Live Food by Alissa Cohen... If for nothing else, it has some very yummy recipes in it. It is a raw food eating diet, not as in I am on a diet, but diet. Anyway, it is quite interesting the concepts for healthy living that it has. I am not sure however that I would be willing to go completely raw, I really do LOVE my chickens eggs.

So lots of good vegetarian recipes? I find them online and I have several cookbooks but I never know if they are really good. We do lots of vegetarian but I can't give up eggs or fish so that makes us fishyeggatarians I guess.

Oh, it is more than just vegatarian... It is NOT COOKED! The warmest food gets is 100 degrees, and then dehydrating. Even the soups are eaten warm, not hot, since the conception is that actually cooking the good kills vital nutrients. Yes, very good recipes. Including a watermelon soup that I am looking forward to trying in the summer! Heck, it'd probably be yummy for you right now with the heat you still have. Also teaches you how to use the pulp for making crackers, chips... in a dehydrator... it is very cool.

Oooh, that does sound good. Actually watermelon soup sounds great 'cause yes, it's still warm here although cooling down at night. And I have a dehydrator that exMIL gave me. I'll get DH to order it on Amazon. He orders so many we have a standing account - ha. If we go bankrupt it will be because we have too many books. Wait - I don't think you CAN have too many books LOL.

Ah Ha! Pescatarian. Sounds so much better than fishyeggatarian!

I just finished Hit by a Farm and Sheepish by Catherine Friend. They were so good. All about taking on a farm (and sheep) when you've been city people. Just really good and funny but so true.
