Fuzzy's Farm

Robin... I am not sure how we will do this...
I don't drive...and BF is NOT helpful at all...
I would like 2 or 3 of your ISAs

When Silver comes up, would you be willing to bring everything she is picking up from you to my house?
Silver could drive up to MI stay the night in a hotel then come to my house get everything in one stop and head home????

I don't know if you were going to show her your set up or if that would work for Silver...
I guess we can see as it gets closer to trip time

Hi Rusty; There was a layer of ice on the goat water this morning and frost on the car windows so I guess we are starting to get a bit here also. The goats had made nests in the hay on the floor and not slept on their shelves so guess they headed to where it was warm also.

Robin... BOBRY posted this on the other thread...

Anyone, What is this chicklet ? I think it's about 6 wks old. got the egg from RBAHMER. Has five toes and feathers on shanks. Take a guess. I can't find one like it in "breeds". Thanks. Bob

read back over my book on hyper thyroid; they digest so fast they don't get their nutrition! Said strong multi vitamins, b in particular. They suggested
b shots, i suggest "sublingual" form. They sell it at rite-aid and sublingual goes straight to the blood just like shots do. Could be why he's eating so much quantity! Cabbage, broccoli, spinach, collard greens, peaches, beet greens are supposed to suppress the over production of thyroid hormones. (perhaps in a capsule if he don't like his veggies?) Book also said to try not eating dairy, having stimulants (coffee, pop, cigarettes) for a few months, but didn't say why. For those who take herbal supplements and vitamins, i recommend swanson vitamins highly. They sell their own brand, plus all the brands the health stores carry but at a much cheaper price! Also they have more things than you might find in a health store :)

I'm not sure where his friend was going with the magnesium thing, if he does take that direction i would suggest a "stress vitamin" formula, mason vitamin is a good brand for this one. It is a formula with much higher than normal doses of certain key vitamins that are supposed to be deficient during times of stress. (Then he gets a higher dose of a few other vitamins as well) The name brand (can't remember off hand but starts with a "z") didn't do much for me and kinda made my stomach queasy! Personally, i'd go this route as he is more likely to listen to his friend (guys uugh) and this way you both win

There are high doses of the B's in it too.:)
Even if he does have a blood sugar issue they will still be helpful. Make sure he eats first, just to be sure he don't get sick though!

I recommend mason vitamin brand in general, they are better than a the "regular" brands you find in the stores imo. I used to get them at the kent city pharmacy. :) You can find them online too. When my mom had type 2 diabetes i gave her a bottle of the diabetic formula they make (she didn't have insurance and would not take insulin) and she raved about what a difference they made!

Are you sure that it was selenium? I thought the salt for bp started with a "L" ?
Whatever it was, it nearly made me go to the hospital! Poisoned me! My dr prescribed it and told me to take it for 3 days, it would make me sick but keep going until i felt better; by the time day 3 rolled around i was soooooooo sick i could do nothing but puke for the whole day. Couldn't even lift my head, had to lie very , very still. Baaaaaaaaad day. Of course they didn't believe me, tried to argue me into doing it again, but NEVER. Had i been able to move i'd have gone in for poisoning!

eta yes, it is lithium you are thinking about.

no lithium isnt a natural remedy its a salt too but im pretty sure selenium was the one listed in the book ... may find it ...could be another s one ... lithium has to be prescribed ...this could be gotten over the counter ... and started with an s although i may have it and selenium confused .. there are more than one that started with an s
see now you will have me trashing the room more to find stupid books lol cause i want to know what it was even if it isnt selenium and see how my doctor would fill about me adding it as my meds are slowly starting to not work as well and i do not want to up the does bc the effect that particular mood stabilizer i am on has on blood sugar and A1C levels
