i TOLD you she was mean! Probably why the falcon never got her- she was too mean, probably beat the falcon up.

Na, haven't today. I am totally bummered for her though.

thanks, Nova. I am bummed for me, too. However- I have baby quail to keep my mind off my chicken loss. They are growing fast and there are ALOT of them. Um..alot. lots of alot. And they are so soft, and I put my hand in- and they swarm me. lol

I had to work until six, then I ate spaghetti, listened to Dink yell about the house being a mess..then went to bed, ummm 8 o clock on the dot. I was TIRED. Real tired.
I am coming down with a sore throat/ headcold. Not any fun. Didnt I just get my rear end kicked by the flu? Not my turn, and yet, here comes a cold.

One street over from my moms is a woman who had ducks when I was growing up. Real fancy house- real fancy yard. Husband was a carpenter, and her house was fabulous. She had a fabulous duck house and yard- everything was so manicured and clean. Now fast forward to now. Same beautiful house, same people living there. I just heard yesterday that she had a chicken and they made her get rid of it last week. One chicken. Beautiful house/yard. One hen. Never bothered a soul. Had one hen, and the neighbors dog jumped the fence and killed it- so she got another one. No longer has ducks. Just one hen. Not anymore- after living in the same house, same neighborhood for forty years, here comes the city and told her to get rid of it. She fought it. Went to court and lost.

So they were on a Chicken Round-up here last week.

Kayla was thrown from her lesson horse on Sunday- got really bruised up. She is black and blue. But YESTERDAY- she felt like she was run over by a truck. So stiff could hardly move. poor kid. This horse reared up, then bucked her right off. Tall one too. She was only on her for about ten minutes when the horse decided she was done. Yesterday they had a snow day and no school, which is good because she needed to rest up.

Fuzzy- fabulous pictures of your hens. I love the coloring they have.

I start work at seven. Gonna be a long long day. You all have a great one. Robin- give my girls my love.

We had a torrential downpour here around 6:30 this morning. Holy crow was it something. School was even canceled. I just now looked out my kitchen window and our back yard is flooding. Couldn't believe it. I've never seen it flood before. DH sent DS out by the basement walkout to try to get the water away from it while he worked on trying to keep it from inside. Just a small amount got in so far.

Mom2, hope Kayla gets to feeling better.

Sorry Robin, was in and out. Have to get the broody coop set up, then it started pouring rain while the birds were out, and Skatter ran back to the big coop, ditching her egg. Got her back in the garage and locked in her broody area. LOL. She was NOT HAPPY!

i am not sure how far I am from theron. I know he's in midland... let me google...
