Man, Robin, I have the worst headache starting up. I still have to get the kid to do his homework. This weather is for the birds... Today while I was working, i felt like a lump that just didn't have the energy to move!. that 85% humidity was a real kicker...

This rain has been something else. All the snow is gone from the now sloggy yard and the driveway is ultra muddy. Couldn't park where I normally park because when I came home earlier the car kind of sunk in so I backed up until I was out of it.

So from what I last understood, this will continue through tomorrow morning and then switch to snow that should give us up to 2". Michigan weather. Gotta love it.

The chicks were shoved under skatter in the dark. I took the tub that they were in out to the garage. They started chirping very loudly when I shut off the brooder lamp. Anyway, so I get them to the garage, they are totally in spaz out mode. Skatter perks up and is looking, very curious why there are chicks having a fit. Jace went out to the garage with me to help me. He manned the light. I told him, Shut the light, I shoved under one chick, then I told him to turn it on. Skatter went into instant attack mode. Not the chick. ME! She shoved that chick under her farther then tried killing my hand. I told Jace to shut the light again, shoved in the last three, and she was not happy with my hand. Jace then turned the light back on, Skatter shoved them chick under her even harder, I was worried she might snatch one from under her and send it flying. She did that the first time I tried slipping her chicks when she was broody the first time and none of the eggs were fertile... ANYWAY! Jace stood guard to watch her while I went and got the waterer, and she was buzy clucking away to the chicks under her. All I can say, is when the fav egg hatches tomorrow, at least she/he will not be lonely.
