Robin, I kind of understand how you feel about that. LOL

My DH has his moments, but he far outweighs my ex-h. I went into that marriage completely ignorant and came out the same with the added benny of extreme low self esteem. That man tore me apart and dropped me so low I thought I'd never hit bottom and bounce back up. It took time and a lot of learning to get back to okay. I think that's why I've been so shy about actually marrying current DH. We've been together for 8 years and are only engaged really and have been for almost 6 years which is why I call him DH because he pretty much is. I will say, though, that I never blossomed until I met him and his you can do anything attitude. I learned how to garden, cook, and so much more. And I never would have had chickens, pigs or goats at all if he hadn't brought them into my world. So even with his moments, I know we work well together and I wouldn't trade him in.

DHs, aside, I do think this group has a lot of strong, smart ladies and I'm glad to know each of you.
And Bobbry, congrats on the golden feather.

Well, gotta go. DS is pacing back and forth behind me wanting to go apply for a job. I just wish all the applying would finally pay off, but it's hard to find jobs in this town when you have 100 people trying for 1 spot.

Well, it was a decision I made myself, unlike what Kim had to do, but as of right now I am feeling relief that I made that decision. Now, later on when they are gone, I know I will miss them. But, I firmly believe that when a person makes a decision then they need to stick by it. Just like when I get rid of some of my birds, I will miss them but I need to do what is best for me now. So don't be sad.

Whatever is best for you and yours! Good for you!

But where do the girls go to find the guys who are into "girls like us", that's what i wanna know!

I wish we weren't all so spread out over MI, because the more i get to know everyone the more i wish we could hang out regularly. I bet it would make for some really great summers! (Crafts, building, birds, ..........conversations about said birds that only a bird-lover could understand.....LOL)

Have a question that maybe can be answered by some of you. My youngest DD has been sick since last week with the flu. Right now she's down to a cough, headache and sore throat. I can manage the cough and headache, but can't seem to get the sore throat better. I've tried throat drops, otc medicine and salt/water gargle. The gargle is the only thing that makes it feel a little better, but the others don't help at all. I looked in her mouth and don't think it's a strep issue so I don't want to call up the doctor because I know they think it's a waste of their time if it's not something major. So any helpful ideas on what I can do or try to make it better for her?

Its not a chicken. Those are illegal. Its a recycled egg. This is why I couldnt throw out the eggs that were developing when I got busted. because I KNEW this was what the outcome was going to be.

mix some honey and some lemon together, give her a couple spoonfuls of that.
If not go to the drug store and buy cepacol throat spray. Its a very small can. It numbs the throat. Different than regular throat spay.

Find out a way that Dink cannot have a sheep. I dont care if he bottles a baby, but I cant have a sheep. he is insane. And he thought they were goats.
