Fuzzy's Farm

How was your drive this morning Robin? My kid is gonna so not be happy when I wake him for school.. Lol, every district around us is closed or delayed... Not Holland area though.
Didn't go to work last night. Didn't want to take a chance on not being able to get home and get stuck in Battle Creek lol. All schools around here are closed.

did anyone peek at this link??? This one started out with roo behavior but then went on to the flock dynamics; am i the only one obsessed with trying to figure these birds out? LOL Each one and their quirks, probably never REALLY know what's going on in their feathered brains :)

This is the author of "The small scale poultry flock" book that I absolutely LOVE! He's so down to earth and has really good tips.

Snow! Wish it would come down here. We did get a tiny bit of rain yesterday - Woot!

Coop cleaning day here. It's beginning to smell. I found a recycling bin in our building at school. You should have seen me half in, half out digging for shredded paper. But I have a big plastic bag full so am going to try it in the coop nests. Thank goodness I had late classes last night and it was 11pm when I was hauling my shredded paper across campus so no one saw the "bag lady" - ha. The only thing I worry about is the ink on it when it decomposes in the compost pile...

I've wanted Hamburgs but have worried about them being a tad aggressive. Is that true?

I don't blame you for not attempting it. That was my worry for DH. He just barely made it home from work this morning. He did okay til he got to our road. No plows only one track from someone's truck. He said the snow was as high as the car's grill and if someone had been coming from the opposite direction there would've been a problem because moving over wasn't an option.

My understanding is that the ink usd now is non toxic and biodegradable. I've used shreded paper for several years, and not seen any ink in soil. I do not shred slick/smooth magazines or paper though. Not good for soil.

short but rough day at work today. Had to give barium to and xray a very energetic golden retriever. Got a smashed hand out of the deal- and I believe if I ever tried wearing these tennishoes through the xray scanner at the airport, I would be arrested.

Im out of grower chick feed. I plan on using the layer crumbles and egg food for parrots/songbirds until I can get to a feed store. They are far away, and Dink is working on his truck- its out of commission for a few days. So, unless one of you want to bring me feed, thats all I have.

Our schools were closed- I think they jumped the gun/ we mainly had ice. not much of it, and about two inches of snow.
Hope those of you that were harder hit are doing ok.
