All right... My other EE pullet that I got from townline in Feb is now doing the same thing its sister did the night before it keeled over. I brought her in ASAP and dosed her. She left a poop on my bathroom counter, it was watery.. the watery part was like a yellow urine color, and the poo was just not right. Wasn't green like a system failure green.... But kinda.. I don't know how to explain it... think bran sticks broken up... only wet... ANYWAY, no blood in it, so I do not think it is a cocci, but I am thinking maybe worms. SO I wormed her too. Tried to get her to eat but she wouldn't have nothing to do with anything I offered. I have never handled her, Skatter raised her, so... ANYWAY... Hope that's the problem. Think I might do round of worming on all of them soon. Will do a keel check tonight and see how they are in that dept.

I think it was Kimmie... I think... who said she had the same thing happen with her EEs that she got from townline. Just up and started dropping dead.

The chicken sneaker said it was his moms and it was tearing up her garden, so he took her to his house he lives up road from me, said his chickens beat her up, soooo, he seen I had chickens and assumed I'd want her? Was too funny I heard the alarm going off at end of driveway he didn't pull into drive but parked right by road for a quick getaway, buttt, didn't know about alarm. So I see this man sneaking something in a cage inside fence and scurrying back to his truck I was like oh no he is not leaving me a dog or cat, so I hollered and said can I help you? He grabbed cage and started up drive couldn't see what was in it. He said well I seen you had chickens so thought you wouldn't mind having this hen! He was soooo embarrassed! But took the hen and the cage! Lol... But haven't put her in with others, covered her up good for the night. And will medicate her tomarrow, and watch her a couple days before I try to figure out where to put her. Got pens still yet to build for the others my sister brought. Nova I'll email you a pic in morning of her. And the new chicks and duck my sister brought! Good night everyone! Welcome back Bob! Hope you feel better soon. I was trying to talk to Robin on FB, but for some reason tonight it keeps locking up on me with the computer. I guess I could use the TP. I don't know why it is being a PITA... Anyway. One of her polish is rocking and a rolling. I don't hear any peeping yet though. I am hoping that I can hear them before I have to go to work tomorrow night. I hope they don't start hatching tomorrow night. I wanna video tape as much as I can! I mean, I may never do this again, ya know. I might. I may just have to by an bator of my own or buy this one off of Robin.

ANYWAY. I just had to share this news.

OMG! I have officially run out of room in my refrigerator. As of tonight, I have 22 dozen eggs in there. I cleaned off an entire shelf for them and still had to make room on another one. I sell about 10 dozen a week to co-workers, but it's not enough. The girls are laying 2+ dozen a day! We usually give some to DHs family, but his parents are away right now and we haven't seen his brothers in awhile so no help there. Gads. I told DH I need to buy a mini-fridge asap. Not to mention make me a sign to try to sell some to passers-by. We have a campground just down the road that I noticed was getting some campers today so it might be a good time to try downloading some of these eggs. Oh my. I just now remembered I'm totally out of cartons now, too.

Or not, it is a handyman special, and let me tell you, it's real special! Blank slate is what i'm telling myself. I need EVERYTHING. Flooring, appliances, toilet, tub.......... Looking for black appliances on the cheap, natural gas on the stove. Sandy beige toilet, since i have a beige pedestal sink already. But i don't know how i'm going to match the tub/ shower........ I don't have but a few hundred right now, so going to have to prioritize, but DH is being much nicer and is happily helping me work on it and letting me use his shower and fridge and whatnot.

AND this means that IF i can make a coop of sorts that has a predator safe run so i don't have to be there to let my birds out (so they don't get heat stroke when i'm at work)

Yay, Fuzzy! That's so exciting. It will be fun fixing it up.

Been in hospital with complications after Shoulder replacement surgery. Spent 11 days in icu and followed up with 11 days in the therapy program. Home on May 1 and slowly healing and improving.

Congrats on trailer Fuzzy! Yeah! Just caught a man sneaking and leaving a hen at end of my driveway in cage! He said " well I seen you had chickens didn't think you'd mind!! Lol.. Real pretty golden ( mutt ) hen I think?.. Lol was too funny when I busted him! Told him I'd love to have it, and he threw in nice cage too...

Uh oh, i don't know the yellow poops. One of my "homemade" ee roos is doing some strange ones lately, too but i think he's eating insulation. Strange bird.

Thankyou all ffor the good wishes. Why, Nova, would anyone be reluctaant to communicate with the folks on this thread? You are good people.
WE lost another of our original 5 hens. Hawk apparently. Bry found her body pressed next to the fence.. No holes but neck broken. Millie was a Bkack Australorp. Nice hen, friendly, and good layer. Not such a succcessful brooder but good with the chick raising. I'll miss her. WE have Buff O and C Marains left with tthe two new, last august hatched Welsummers. Those gals have been laying close to an eggg a day since starting. Keepers.

Oh boy, i read this and had a flashback. When My little bantam hen had constipation, i do think that the poops started out yellow..... feel for blockage maybe????
