Shawarma was such a nasty twitch when she hatched her baby, I had hoped Pattie would get a little fight in her.

This morning I moved her and her new baby out to the tractor by themselves. Now she won't have to fight for her baby and she can relax with him all alone!

Shawarma is trying to go broody again

I hate her when she is broody! I do want to give her more eggs though... Oooooohhhh I am so bad!!!! BF would kill me!!!!!

I think Omlette is a roo... comb and wattles are red already

Aww, sorry about the baby. My hatch was a dud, i noticed the (2) remaining eggs were cold today when i let my momma out to eat and poo, so i mustered up and opened them. One was nasty goo, and one was a very dead baby. Must have been dead a couple days already, the yolk was very hard. She was STILL trying though, so i gave her a couple of sissy's eggs and a couple of hope's.

Coopersville......... ya, the stinky town. LOL. It's right on the highway, though. Otherwise i'd not be here, but job-wise it gives me much more selection! Trailer's coming. Not good yet, but ........ well it's renovation. May need a new water heater too. No hot water period! So DH is getting his dad to test the wires, we are hoping it's just the sensors in the thing! I had hoped to make front room carpet my next big thing. Then a stove and fridge...... those from CL though.

I accidentally broke my toilet water tank, the beautiful crane one........... It was seeping at the bolts, and wouldn't quit whatever we did so i gave it one last crink and well.......... it may have been slightly cracked before, that's what i'm telling myself anyway. Wouldn't hold water...... but before the guys ripped it out the last time it wasn't leaking, so they may have damaged it in their haste too Just the lid alone costs $75 used! I about sh.t myself. They don't make them anymore, and it seems the older toilets with the big tanks have quite a following; there's only one place i've found so far that had one, and for the tank without the lid and the shipping it would no joke cost $274!!!! I have the lid though. Oy. But we had another tank from some cheapo one that is really close in color, and thank the Lord it fit,

if i could only turn my OCD off............ It's bugging me that it's not the "right" one........

Ah, and if any of you are trying to paint trailer walls ever, WHISPERS of color. That peach turned into screaming melon! I've toned it down a ton with white and tried again several times, so i have to go back to white and get a skin tone peach, not with ANY pink in it! Looks like a little girl's room! Ha ha ha ha.

My boy broke his arm tonight, both bones in his left fore arm. My poor boy. I have a feeling that the rest of my life with him will be... An adventure.

Ohhhhh Noooooooo! Which boy? So Sorry for him Hope it heals fast! Grandsons have been both through broken arms. The youngest 2 years in a row. Now you are really going to have to get creative with activities to keep him occupied over the summer. Helpful hint... boys like dirt and dirt loves boys. What to do at bath time? My DD has a good relationship with our vet. went to him and asked if she could swipe some of his cloves that he would use for exams on cows and horses. (clean of course.) The ones that go up to the armpit. Worked like a charm to keep cast dry at bath time. I think TSC also carries them. But vet gave her some for free.
What is up with all the lone chicks? Had broody hatch two smoosh one. Incubator full only one. Tried to put lone chick under broody she beat him up.
Going to go steal a chick or two from Robin so my bator kid won't be all by itself.
Nova hope you get Jeep fixed so you can make it to CS. When you replaced gaskets and stuff did you "permatex" the heck out of them?
Don't know of anything else.DH said you can flush the radiator and not mess up the heater core by unhooking and plugging the heater lines if you flush. Also a possibility is a radiator hose could be collapsing internally.
Hopefully by CS I'll be off crutches and can go. DH has taken a week off work so he can do my chores and such. I been been a real pain and getting blisters on my rear cause I can't do anything. Bless his heart putting up with me. He is also building an area for my geese. They are out of the basement. Yippee!

I dunno yet about chicken stock. I am still hoping to go and planning on it. Might have to borrow my nephews car though. The jeep is still drivable. I am hoping though that I can get a new car before next weekend.

It's the youngest who broke it. The oldest is not as physically adventurous.

Hi Everyone! Boy have I missed you! We just got back from two weeks in the Navajo nation - only occasionally had cell phone service and no internet at all. It was great! Went to a Joan Baez concert in Boulder and then on to Sante Fe, Chaco Canyon, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff (observatory there for star watching which was neat) and then home. Completely worn out so now have to rest up to recover from the vacation - lol.

Yes, lots of bad weather here. The big tornado in Moore hit right before we left. My oldest son was in the Municipal building that got hit but he's okay and my DIL was teaching at the elementary that was just south of the one that was hit where the kids died. Tornado jumped over us, hit the lake and then hit the next town up. Too scary. Then we were on the road when the next tornados went through. Our house sitter had all the dogs in our closet for a couple of hours. It missed us again but we were petrified as we in Boulder, CO and just texting back and forth to see how things were progressing. Very scary. That's the tornado that hit El Reno and again part of Moore. The widest tornado ever recorded - 2.6 miles wide. Needless to say, we are getting a storm shelter put in. Oldest son is also having one put in but it won't actually be installed until next November because so many people are now scared to death of how bad the weather is getting. Things have calmed down but I hear on the news that you guys in MI are getting these horrible straight winds. What the heck is going on? Anyway, we got home and all is okay here. We feel really lucky that none of the animals were hurt.

Fuzzy, I'm so sorry about your hen and Nova, I hope your girl is doing better. It's so hard to lose them. Poor boy, Nova. Broken arms in the summer are really a pain!!! Tee, what's wrong with your feet? Hi Savannah. Good news about the trailer. My dad had a travel trailer that was pretty nice but I couldn't imagine living a long time in it. Hi Everybody!

Well, DH and I have been talking. I think the money from my dad's estate will allow us to pay off our house and all debts. There won't be any left over but just not having money go out would be wonderful. Of course, it goes without saying that I'd rather have my Dad here than the money any day of the week. Anyway, I'm seriously considering retiring. 62 and life is short. Won't have the spare funds I'm used to but won't have to put up with blinking glass moles. (I'm trying to remember how you phrased that Nova - LOL). Still a bit ambivalent but am seriously thinking. This thing with my dad dying has really hit me hard and I'm very pessimistic...oy vey. Sorry about the novel - ha. Seems like I've been gone forever...

I'd put some rolls of fencing in there JUST IN CASE, that way if their house gets demo'd you can still corral them. And a very nice big tent in case Red Cross is a tad slow! (Or just have a handy guy drive down a pitcher pump in there, then you could live in there if push came to shove! I'm thinking root celler, a little screen door. in your prepping stuff........... nice and cool with jars of food.........hobbits............... LOL LOL. But really, i want to see you well and safe!!!
