Sorry, Nova. Chickenstock is a no-go for me. Work calls and there's no way to get out of it because everyone who isn't taking time off is already working.
I've been busy between work, getting the garden going, attempting my handyman skills on some indoor projects of which i still have a lot to do, family to-dos, appointments and scouring the internet for a trumpet for my youngest DD and gift ideas for all the birthdays jumping up at me in the next 2 months and pinning boards for open house/party ideas for next year when my eldest DD graduates. Yes, I am crazy and already looking at that stuff. I even booked the park already so I don't have to worry about it when the time comes.
Anyway, spent my day at work and it was terribly humid and hot. I hate it when you get all sweaty in the first 10 minutes then have to stay that way for the next 4 hours. And the stupid little fan in the truck only blows the hot air at you so there's no relief from it. I've got to remember to bring my little lunch bag from now on to keep my water bottle cold because it's getting warm halfway through the route now. Warm water is very blech-y when you're hot.
My mom had a knee replacement done today, as well. They kept delaying it so she only got done a few hours ago. Wish she were closer so that I could help take care of her while she recovers, but she's not. I did pull my walker out of storage for her, though, when she was up here for my niece's wedding so she'll have a really good aide to help her get around. It's the kind that has wheels and a seat for when you get too tired and need to rest.
Anyway, I need to throw the last load of laundry in the drier and get to bed because I have early morning appointments for my eldest DD. I will literally being flying from one to the next so I hope to heck the traffic isn't too bad.
