Fuzzy's Farm

BYFM, i don't know where you live! I bet i've been close, though. I have a pretty big range (When i have a car to drive instead of a big gallump!)
Oakland Co.
I am doing a favor for John and babysitting his friend's kid while they get xmas gifts. I have always wanted to hyper up someone else's kid on sugar and then send them home!
YES AWESOME
Well, the kid, Diego, about 40 minutes into it, decided to start crying.... I called John and told him, Diego is starting to freak. The kid has only ever been with his mother or grandparents. He's 4... Anyway, they said they were almost done... An hour later they finally come. Diego went into the bathroom about 10:25, and didn't come out until John got back. He hid in there and played with the bath toys that were on the counter. AND He was afraid of the movie Finding Nemo... It was too scary. Well hell, if he had told me it scared him, I'd have put on Sprout channel... nothing but preschool programs...

UGH... Poor kid. His mother needs to get him... out more...
Not so awesome...
I watched a little boy ONCE that screamed at the front window MAMA MAMA!!! The WHOLE TIME SHE WAS GONE!!! LIke an hour or 2... seemed like a lot longer at the time.
My son is 3 and he thinks Nemo rocks. But my kid is the most happening kid ever... Mom bragging! LOL

I got a 3rd egg... I think she will be a very good layer!

Fuzzy - If you want hugging chickens you need to get some d'Anvers. They are the most lovable chickens I have ever had.
Really? I'm loving hugging chickens.
Eh, it aint a thread killer. You might have to look into getting a second pt job or apply for more hours, or see if there is a full time position open in one of the sister homes. Maybe even see if there is an opening in a sister home closer to holland! That way, you can afford a place on your own. It'll be hard, not saying it won't, but if you don't have to have a roomie, that'd be better. You don't have someone to get on your nerves then.
X2 - but certainly worth not being unhappy all the time. Life is short...
How has everyone been ? im bored cold and sometimes lonely but mainly COLD.... I ben offline more than I planned to be cause 1 - DD wants the pc quite often and half th time i let hr have it til bedtime cause i enjoy the quiet it creates and 2 - well i gt bored when no one is talking anywhere !!! lol Supplies the duck took a visit to DD school today to meet her class and a class of younger kids .. they loved it but i flt ridiculous walking around an elementary school carrying a noisy 6 week old duck lol
Hi Silver, Love the picture I get of you with the duck and tons of little kids. LOL!
see i get here and there everyone goes lol i suck at this talking thing apparently lol
Last week of the semester so incredibly busy but NOW IS OVER! WooooHooo!!!!
silver which is the lessor of two evils, bored or tired and busy? Sounds like the kids are keeping you busy today, and out of trouble!

Brag here I am getting ready to go to my DD graduation from a program where she has been learning phlebotomy and how to read cardiograms.

Way to go for your DD. That's something!

My first was like that. But then the second and third sons quickly learned that it was FUN to go somewhere where mom couldn't yell at them for being a pain - ha.

Took forever to catch up on the thread. You all can talk - ha - but that's why I love you!!! Had the meeting with the Dean yesterday and "woooo hooo" now officially a full prof. The main good thing about that is a nice raise. Makes all those years of school and paying off loans worth while. I did take three dozen eggs to his office which his secretary loved. Never hurts to make the dean's secretary like you..

We get the new baby goats next weekend. All of 12 inches tall. Here's a couple of pictures (all blue eyed)...

Going to spend the weekend making sure fence has no openings bigger than 4" that the babies can squeeze through as well as working on getting a stall ready for them. Can hardly wait!!!

Lol! Great job on the full professor and raise! You know that means more chickens right? Or a new goat or two!
are you feeling better?
Thanks, Nova! It definitely means more chickens. I'm already figuring out where to have a second run and coop - LOL!

Yeah, feeling so much better. I actually think the antibiotics did the trick. Still got a cough at night (as does DH). I think that hangs on forever but the honey, lemon, chamomille tea helps that so much.

Nova, that story about diego cracked me up. Poor kid.

BYFM, i don't know where oakland is. :(

I woke up to all this white stuff all over! Drat. Means i gotta get on getting that heated water base. I also thought about a stock tank de-icer, but the thought of electric in water............ can't wrap my head around it, makes me nervous! I gotta get into motion though, gonna try to make the feed mill today and they close early.
One positive though, yesterday i was running late to do my check on the birds because we had a meeting at work, and guess who actually put herself to bed on the lower roost??? My cocoa's baby (hope) and one of the tiny girls. :D I had tried to put them on the roost at dusk, and they panic. I put them in the nest, panic. lol.. So last night i put the stragglers up on the roost, crossing fingers they start doing it on their own! This little thing is encouraging because it means that they are integrating and getting more comfortable :D

I'm glad you are feeling a tad better Gigi :)
Thanks, Fuzzy. And I'm hoping you get your situation worked out soon. I vote on not having roommate if you can swing it - even if the place you get is not very nice. It's easy to make a place comfortable with even hardly any money - yay for thrift shops. They are actually one of my favorite places. Saved my life many times after my first DH passed away. Plus I think living on your own is kind of liberating. At least until you find someone who is really worth spending an entire lifetime with.

Yes, through the years we've had many rough spots, and before this it was always MY place and he was the one wanting to go............ It will be a Looooooong time before i put myself in a position like this again! I don't like being alone, but it sure is nice to not have so much cleaning! And i sleep so much better!

I may take in my littlest sis if it is possible. She's freshly graduated, quiet and mousy. She is in that in-between stage where she is almost an adult, still very much needs guidance...... my other sis tried but she has a full house with her 3 kids, and my mom isn't doing good financially either.......... so there she is, stuck! I may be just the person to teach her what she needs to know. Also, she wants to learn to cook............ a girl after my own heart!

My mom had her when i was a junior in HS; literally she is the age that "my kid" would have been had i gotten pregnant in HS!!! lol. They have lived very far up north so i haven't gotten to be with her while she was growing :(
