LOL, I've never really had a problem with the Bald Eagles that hang out around here. It's the Red Tails and Cooper's hawks mostly. Golden Eagles, now those scare me. One of our friends (who is a very experienced hunter/outdooorsman) saw one from about 200 yards away and thought it was a coyote because it was so massive. Then he looked through his binoculars and realized what it was........

Golden eagles are what we have here. They are huge!

I thought about fish line... But when the thing attacks not15 feet from me! Not kidding! They are desperate, or have the biggest set of nuts ever!

What snow? We haven't had any. It has snowed, but stuck for all of 2 seconds.

What I am doing is stringing fishing line through all the trees about 6 ft high in the goat pen.   I know it stops hawks so maybe an eagle will think twice...

I hung blank CDs on our run when we first moved to this house. Scared most of the hawks away the first winter, and then whenever we have a problem I put them up again. Works pretty well, but it's kind of an eyesore, literally on sunny days LOL. Reflective poles (you can get them at hardware stores, usually in the aisle with mailboxes and welcome mats and stuff like that) work good too.

I am not about to start arguing! If you don't like what is happening to the cat, I really cannot help that! How many times have I warned the idiot owner?! Probably about eight times, one for every dead chicken I find with their cat beside it! I have warned them! My dad is getting mad, too, and he says he is probably going to shoot the cat the next time it shows up. And he's shot the neighbor's dogs for killing chickens, so I really don't doubt it. Now, please, please, please stop bugging me about this dad gum cat!

I really do not want to see a flame war break out, if this isn't already one. This is a nice thread! It shouldn't get locked for our arguments!
