CFL My Grandaughteer is about the same age as you (I thinK), she has RIR (25) . She came over looked at you egg, and with mouth hanging 1/2 way to her knees she let out a 'holy cow, dang that's one hue egg ! We don't get eggs that big from our chickens'.

Everyone here in Mi. watch the sore throats. My grandson started with a sore throat and fever. Got sent home from school Wednesday P.M.
Says doc was called and he said no need to come in lots of stuff going around. Friday A.m. went to doc ....................
Full blown Scarlet Fever
fever, strep throat, cough, snot, and measles like rash with swelling in the fingers and toes. And all he wanted to do was sleep. No appetite either.Get out the Clorox spay, hand sanitizer and please remember to wash hands if out using public places.

I hope you don't mind, i posted this on FB rusty. With holiday mingling and shopping, it is a scary thought. My sis has several kids, and DH's sisters have kids too............ Lots of kids i know. I googled it, it is a terrible sickness.
Not a common thing, so if they don't have a head's up it could be poo-poo'd as nothing easily! Poor thing.


I finally broke down and bought an electric coffee pot. Went to goodwill and spent a whole $3 on it, it has an automatic timer on it and God willing i will have coffee being made as i wake up!

On the days i work i often have only an hour to be out the door once i wake up, and doing it the old fashioned way on the stove is very time consuming. If nothing else, this thing makes really loud noises when it's brewing. lol.
I'm putting it in my room so i can hear and smell the coffee, should be inspiring! (hey, if i had it my way i'd be tucked in my covers until nearly noon!)

Hi Fuzzy, I don't mind. the more that know the more they can possibly take precautions. Like wash and run away from people coughing.
He is hear for the weekend and have fingers crossed we don't get it. were spraying and stuff. We also have a container (with lid) for his tissue. He has been on antibiotics for 36 hours starting to feel a little better.

For the coffee pot try running white vinegar through it a few times. Run clean water through till no more vinegar smell. Sometimes those heater element have lime deposits and such on them. Worth a try!

My dad gave me my Christmas gift early, and it was a NEW CAMERA!!! It takes awesome pictures! Woo-hoo! CELEBRATE!

Coffee pot putting out water, reason they sold it is because they broke the pot!
i'm using a large cup until i get another pot. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for another cheap coffee pot so i can use the pot; for now i'm using a soup cup to test it.
Much cheaper to buy a pot than a coffee machine that runs on a timer!

Adults aren't likely to get this, it's mostly 18 and under. You aren't supposed to use the same spoons and forks, use glass cups for them! Plastic is more porus so harder to disinfect.

Aw, poor little guy. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.
Remember a few years ago when swine flu hit big? My youngest got a case of the flu and we did the same thing. I sprayed or wiped anything she touched with clorox spray or wipes. Anytime any of us had contact with her we doused our hands in sanitizer. I felt bad for being so militant about it because you could tell she was upset by my actions, but no one else got sick. As for going in public, I have a little pouch on the inside of my purse and I carry a travel sized hand sanitizer in it so we can use it if necessary.
