Fuzzy's Farm

Sounds like everyone has been busy with bad weather, sorry! Was in 70's here today.. Finished a 375 ft of fence! Lotta work. We got the big hen house finished, the chickens didn't want to go in there last night they were looking for their roosting pole that we took down when we finished the coop. That was the whole purpose to get them inside at night! Well finally coaxed them inside after a few try's! But low and behold my Buff Orpington layed her first egg today in new hen house!!! Yea! So hopefully the rest will follow suit. Hope everyone does ok in the bad weather your having. I seen on the news you were going to get hit pretty hard.. Anyway now I know why we live in the south!! Lol.. When it gets down in 30's I freeze to death! Any way have great evening

We got a good 4 inches of snow here... It is pretty but the chickens and the dogs are upset about it.

I have been looking into different craft things I would like to do... Ugg I need to find me a sugar daddy... I am one expensive crafter! LOL
However, once I really got going with it... BF could quit his job in just a few months! He would love that!
We would be making silicone baby dolls... They are so lifelike... If you thought the vinyl ones were creepy.. don't watch this...
PS the lady in this video is certifiably crazy
I would only have to sell 2 a month to survive... the problem is... how many people have $2500 to spend on a doll... "Not I," said the cat!
BF and I could stay home and make babies all day long... LOL

SIL thinks I am nuts and the baby thing is creepy! Some of the people that have them are definately nutty...

Savannah, you may need to lock them in their new house for a few days if they don't get the hang of it on their own... When ever I have moved birds from one area to another, I have had to relocate them several nights in a row till they got it. LOL, some are quicker than others, and those are the ones I usually move first, then the others follow along... like lemmings. HEHE

Hmmm... What ever Robin. I don't mind. I am not sure if I'll get anymore eggs from Vanilla, she's what... going on 3 now, Kim? SO, should get a few from her yet, she's not on any extra light, so I don't expect any from her actually till spring. But I can't breed Soledad to her brother... ick....

Gigi... I'd have loved to see you dumpster diving... I'd have been one of those yelling, HEY, GET A JOB!! LOL

We had family movie night at Jace's school. Was supposed to be Wreck it Ralph, but ended up seeing Hotel Transylvania. Was cute. I know now though, that we will need to bring something to sit on the next time we go. AND I think we won't be bringing the youngest... He got ansy 1/2 way through. LOL. It's a bring your own blankets/cushions slumber party type thing. Not kidding. They don't get out the chairs or nothing. Makes it more fun for the kids I guess...

I locked mine in the coop for a couple of days when they moved out of their brooder, Savannah. They were young so they didn't know any different. And then when we opened the pop door they didn't want to come out. Silly chickens. And Oklahoma's temps are much like yours which is good and bad. Good that I can get out and do stuff and bad 'cause I know the drought is going to be so bad and we will have tons of ticks - lol!

Thankfully all my students had left and the building was pretty much empty when I was rooting around in the trash - lol! If someone would have seen me pulling out shredded paper, my dept. chair would have just shrugged her shoulders. She knows I'm pretty much crazy. Plus, I'm her supply line for tootsie rolls (I keep a big bag in my desk which she steals from) - lol!

I remember movie nights. It was in the rec center with cold linoleum floors. The kids thought it was great but I was always soooo ready to go home = ha.

Yeah, BFM, they may be really expensive but wow, I do think they are so creepy - ha. One time we visited on of my friends who lived in texas. She put us in a bedroom that held her doll collection which consisted of about two hundred big porcelain dolls. DH wouldn't go to sleep because of all the dolls staring at him

. It actually wierded me out too but I didn't tell him that - ha.

Well, I went and laid down because BF thinks he is a better parent... So I let him be... Now I am wide awake :(
And oh schucks I forgot to lock the chickens up... gotta go!

Morning Gigi, a little behind the eight ball here.
Nova, I was like huh? My DH just left Tulsa. Then I went back posts. I now see you meant Tee. ( one of those days, huh?) Glad everyone has made it home OK in the snow we had or lucky enough to have not had to go out in it.
Snow blowed AGAIN today took four hours. But I have come to the conclusion that with what we have been getting don't need a membership to a gym!

I found another use for oyster shells. Didn't have any kitty litter and garden tractor wouldn't go up the hill last night. Snow didn't melt all the way off of it and kept sliding backwards. Had 150 pounds of feed, flock block and 2 bags of water softener salt that I was not going to carry down the hill and then about 75 yards to the coop. Ah- ha, got some oyster shell spread in the track and the tractor walked up the hill. The day was saved.

DD has been have a lot of problems with her van. Went shopping for another auto today. Got approved for a loan and they were going to give her 4,000 for trade in. Well...... on way home a deer jumped from an embankment. And yup, you guessed it. Dead center in the grill. Took out the radiator, can't open hood and crunched that. And both head light assembly's. Then the deer hit a pick up that was coming at her and took out that guys front fender. Thankfully no one was hurt. Just streaks!
Oh and Robin glad you didn't go I found out that your county forgot the road you are on is on the map.
Sorry about the hand Kim.
Everyone have a good night!

We spent the day shoveling out from the snow. DS did the initial around the house and did the driveway. Then my youngest DD and I did the next turn around the house, cleared off the back deck and made a path to the goats/chickens while oldest DD worked on the entry deck which was turning to ice from the water dripping off the roof. Took a couple of hours, but we got it done. I would say we got 8-9" easy.

I think Kent County got less than we did so I'm hoping they are in better shape than ours or it will be a long day of work tomorrow.
Night all.
