Well, I guess it is up to me to make the first post of the day!
Sorry about the earlier oopsie... SHHHHHH.... it happens to all of us at some point or other.
Rusty.... I agree, bad mojo... Will they maybe still take the van? LOL, hey, you never know, and if it was insured beyond plpd, then maybe she can just get it either fixed, or totalled and take that money and buy a new one? Hope it will work out... how about the deer? Did it die? get a kill permit and use the meat for 1)dogs... 2) remaining good meat for dinner... That's what I did when I hit on with my old buick. Friend had some sled dogs, he took the bruised meat and they chowed in style for a few days.
The sun is out and shining today! Lot of ice from the roof dripping... SUCKS! The turkeys however really enjoy the cleared paths that the neighbor and I snow blow around the yard. Sure makes it easier for them to find a snack. I went out and took a big bowl of cracked corn, they all scattered in the opposite direction, except on brave hen. She actually came to with in feet of me and waited till I finished spreading it. She must have remembered from the last few years... Anyway, boy are their feathers just beautiful in the sun. The coppers and golds that show up, just stunning. I do have to agree, I think the turkey should be our national bird... I like bald eagles, but them turkeys really are something... Of course, not sure if you could eat them then.... Hmmm. LOL
Anyway! My broody NH is still at it. Skatter is also getting tired of being locked up in the garage. I am not wanting to put her back in the coops though with so many cockerels in there... I guess I just might be giving her more space soon... I'll figure something out.
Anyway... gotta go an boil chicken legs for the bbq. I know... but it works faster to boil them first...
