Hannah, read your story. I think you are quite talented in your writing. Needs a bit of editing to clear up redundancies, clarifying, removing unnecessary verbiage. It seems to be more of a general overview/backstory of what is to come... kinda like it's catching everyone up to speed very quickly to bring us all to the same page, if you understand what I mean. If this is your intent, then I think you did a phenomenal job. Going to cross post this comment.

well, nova, perhaps sam had the right of it then by suggesting the water dish; i have some that HAVE to hold the water with one foot. Never thought about it much, now it's got me worried! but they are all fine. Feet feathers are a wreck though! Do they only grow in the fall? I hope not cause i'll have a long wait then! They all look dirty as only little pale birds can do Little rooster is growing back his hackles already! So happy about that, felt bad for him. Aside from a few smooth spots on his comb and one of the tips is rounded instead of pointy it looks like he will be up to par come spring. So mad about that, but i do know that frost bite could have very well struck my coop as well. Surprised it didn't , with all the humidity. The big rooster had the barest touch on one of the front points on his crown, but not the crown itself so it actually looks nicer! Very lucky and blessed.

I still miss my little girl though. Especially with spring coming on, and the grass growing. Oh to hold her again and take her for our walks! But only bare ground for her and I. I need to find homes ASAP for these birds before i can't bear to see them. If i knew they were going to a GOOD home, i would miss them but it would help the hurt too. Silly to some perhaps but i was bonded with that little bird far more than any human, right or wrong. I love these birds too, but it's a different kind if that makes any sense at all?

I couldn't make any noise because I wasn't home. LOL
Had to work, then was home for a bit (long enough to take a power nap), then went to dinner and watched a radio show. My daughter was the stage manager again for her high school's annual radio show and this year we were treated to Flash Gordon.
The kids did a great job with it.

today, well, yesterday I joined facebook. My family has been bugging me. That would be my mother in Sturgis, gran in Burr Oak, sister in Bremerton WA. So, what do they do? Suggest to cousins that I don't care to keep in touch with... And I just ignored those suggestions. This morning I have requests from those cousins... I hate facebook now. Its not even been 24 hours. I am even private. I think... Anyway... I am bi-po.... I don't like a lot of my family...I really only like a few people. Ya'll are lucky, or not, that I like ya'll. But the cousin in question... God I sound so snotty and mean...

Not really, Nova. I'm not friends with a some of my relatives, either. It's either because I don't like them or really don't know them. Never heard of any of gthem complaining about it so it must be fine with them, too. You probably got double-whammied. I think when someone gives you friend suggestions it shows up on their page, too, and they hit confirm and then if you haven't done it, it goes to you again. At any rate, you don't have to friend everybody. I only have about 80 as compared to most everyone I know who have 150-800 and I'm fine with that.

Oh crappers. I just want to cry.

Something slammed into me last night and now I'm sick again. I can't deal with another round of this cough/sore throat crap. It took so much out of me last time and with my work being even busier right now, I'm gonna be toast.

Ah man... Tee, please do not breathe in my direction... My friend Joe is sick also. I offered him a muffin last night, got some cream cheese ones, and he declined. Said his stomach was off... Hope ya feel better.

I know just what you mean. I've got a facebook page but I'm hardly on there. Just don't have the time and no desire to be friends with 4000 people. I go on to see pictures of the grandbabies but that's all. People at work think I'm anti-technology but I'm not at all. I just think you use it when you want - you don't let it use you.

I've been on spring break all week and all I've done is work work work. Gotta go back to school tomorrow - I need to retire - lol.

Fuzzy, I know what you mean about caring so much about your birds. All of our animals are part of our family.

TWO huge raccoons in the hens' run last night. Luckily all the girls were put up safely. Little boogers saw me and zoomed up a tree, through the aviary netting and away into the woods.

Made liver and onions for dinner... Made it with country gravy(?)... Simmered in it. Was interesting. took the recipe off spark people for a healthy one. Thinking I should have gotten a pack of bacon and used bacon fat to cook it instead of olive oil. It was good, but the bacon fat woulda made it...

spring break is next week for my boy.

I need to retire... After I win that lotto...
