Fuzzy's Farm

uugh. I left out an hour before closing time at the office park, but i see that the ad is deleated on CL. :( I thought trailer park offices were closed on the weekend??? So either she was considerate and took down the ad for me, since she knew i was considering it for the weekend, or......... :( I just spent the day looking at flooring and appliances, and dreaming up the perfect look on the cheap.......................... :(

she did it based on you wanting the trailer !!

Got a lot done today. And I even took a few moments for pictures. Time for a photo bomb.

Roosters: Newton, Ruby, Neil, Goober, and the no name silkie

some chickens getting a drink

some of the girls

and this one thinks she wants to be broody

Got a lot of the tree taken care of, moved the goats, and poked around in the pole barn where I discovered 2 different hidey-holes of about 20 eggs. Girls were trying to be sneaky.

Ok... Gigi... Sorry bout your Brahma..

Did you float the eggs Tee?

Anyone who thinks chickens are dumb, a dime a dozen, no thought, feelings... They haven't seen my birds... My last GLW is having another EYP episode, and I think its going to kill her this time around... Yes, she's getting a daily dose of antibiotics, but... Anyway, she's been in the garage for the last 4 days... Last night, I found her and Pat the rat together by the stairs. She couldn't make it to the garage, 5 feet away... Pat was staying with her. Tonight I found her under the jeep. Fritz the Jerk was standing guard. I got her out and dosed her and used the syringe to get water in her afterwards. Her wattles are shrivling. Her comb too. I drenched her as well and forced some yolk down her too.... Well anyway, I went to turn the light off and make sure she's under or near the lamp, And Fritz is settled down on the floor next to her on one side, Pat the Rat on the other. I was touched. It really is too bad that they are such stupid birds and I am ridiculous for thinking they are more than potential dinner. They are easily replaced... Just livestock. Anyway...( yes I got that today when I was caught babying her and trying to coax her to eat and petting her) She's prolly not going to make it this time... My poor Dot...At least she has two of her flock mates by her. Yes Fritz the jerk moved into the garage when she did. On his own.

Fuzzy I really hope the trailer works out for you... I would sneak the babies in in a box... You are just moving in more "stuff"... no one would know.

Look what I found!!!!!

Baby Omlette has arrived!!!!! BR/silkie mix. It has 5 toes just like daddy!
Right on time!!!
I checked last night... no babies. Checked tonight... SURPRISE!!!!
I will have to clean the waterer and feeder out tomorrow and put them in the coop.
Shawarma is on the right nest so hopefully everything will work out and Pattie wont give up early (they are in seperate boxes now and have not been able to switch eggs between the 2 of them)

I had a friend over last night for a bon fire and I candled the eggs for him to see the babies... he got to see Patties 2 week old babies moving around inside the egg. He said it was the most amazing thing he had ever seen!

Has anyone ever tried to use an ultrasound to hear the babies heartbeat inside the egg? You can buy them at the store now... THAT WOULD BE COOL!!!

Sorry about your girl Nova. :(
I know all animals have feelings. You can see it in their eyes.
They love and have empathy... and that is more than I can say for a lot of humans

Nova, sorry for your Dot. It's sad, but kind of nice knowing the boys are staying by her.

No name had a name, but it wasn't appropriate so he went back to having none. Could you just imagine me yelling '@**hole' at him all the time?
