Nova, you know I work for the post office and I can tell you 100% that your package should not have been handled that way. At my p.o. any live chicks or shipped eggs travel in the front of the incoming mail truck with the driver and then when we get them we have a safe place for any live chicks (we call whoever they are going to immediately) and we specially handle shipped eggs. I have delivered eggs on the route before and they ride with me right next to my seat carefully put in so they don't move. That said, whoever delivered your package should have been more careful and I would think they would have noticed the damage before delivering. Was there any sticker on the box indicating it arrived at the p.o. damaged? Is there a scan label? If so, go to usps.com and enter the label code to see if the carrier scanned it as having noticeable damage. Most importantly, though, I would take the box to your p.o. and show them or call and speak to the supervisor and file a complaint. What happened to your eggs is totally unacceptable and you have every right to voice your opinion on the delivery of them.
