LOL... I don't buy marigolds anymore because they ate them down to the ground last year. One day I had blooms and the next I thought someone had pulled them all out!!!!

I took them away!

Tut tut looks like rain... again
DS's fever broke at 3:30pm... He feels cooler to the touch and when he woke up from his nap he was "singing"... more like screaming... so I know he feels better! LOL

**** I lied... the fever is back. The tylenol must have been working

Hello everyone! Haven't been on for a while. Got the stinking flu again! Still sick but feeling little better! sounds like everyone is hanging in there, sorry little one is sick BYFM. And hope you can find another baby for your one lone chick. Mine are all doing great. And ducks do grow very fast. Seems like they grow another pound every day! Nova glad your eggs are looking so promising . My husband told me no more chickens any time soon! I had plenty right now! And of course he's right. Lots of work. But do love them all. Keep me intertained. We bought a 14 by 60 mobile home a fixer upper. Got good deal on it. The Lady we got it from had bought all new carpet and tiles for kitchen still in plastic. And had started painting. Got it for 4,000.00 I'm happy weve been living in our 36 ft travel trailer since we bought property last august. Of course we've been living in travel trailers for years because we always traveled a lot with my husbands job. Now we are finally going to have some room. Going to have it moved in couple weeks. I'm excited, plus good thing it's paid for and land is too. Not much but paid for! Had to share with everyone! We are blessed. Am praying for all the people in Oklahoma that's lost so much. Today he is full of P&V... still has a low grade fever but feeling much better!

Ya know what, That is how I feel about things too. Its paid for, it's mine, you don't have to like it. Having and actual HOUSE is going to be a big change from the travel trailer. Now you can put the travel trailer out to pasture, or do as some, and convert it to a big coop. LOL. OR, Guest house! Or, the dog house when either you or the old man are having outs. LOL

Our home is old, some of our cars, too, but we're sheltered and can get from a to b so I really could care less when someone turns their nose down at it.

Hiya Ladies! Long time no hear eh?

Ok I got a question for you wise chicken ladies. My hens didnt lay during the winter(normal) then they started up in like Feb. and been laying pretty consistently since then. Well my frustration is they have not laid eggs in over a week. 7 hens... 0 eggs in 7 days. My question is this normal spring behavior? Is this a diet deficiency? Curious to know what, if anything we are doing wrong. Oh btw got some new chicks... will post pics soon. Along with the 192 sq ft. Chicken coop we are biulding.

HI! Find the new nest. I bet they've found a nice cool place to lay. Lol, last year I found a nest with over 20 eggs! I was like, where are all my eggs? I know they are laying... I hear the egg song... Then I found it. A few weeks later, found another nest in the garage behind my compressor. They are tricky.

How are the feathers? Does it look like a pillow exploded? May be molting, too hot... Um... I would bet there is a Biden nest, or something is stealing your eggs...to go from7 to nothing all at once... A slow drop off I could see, but not 7 to nothing...
