I woulda loved to see that! Some of my chickens are much better flyers. The lighter ones. My serema hen has gotten some height... Can't wait to see how the phoenix are!

Hmm. Maybe I should pop over to the other thread and check the tude dude out. Haven't been over there for a while anyway.

As for flying chickens, I asked DS where the baby boy was because I haven't seen him all day. I guess he's been hanging out in the pole barn and when it was time to shut the chickens in he made his way to the coop where he flew up to the roosts. DS said he's up there snuggled between two of our black hens.

How did you know he was a senior in high school? I only saw a thing about him wanting show birds and it being showing season so I thought he was a kid for sure because of that. I kind of sense an underlying thing about him, too, which would explain why he thinks he needs to 'school' anyone on things, but since I know nothing really about him it's just a hunch, so to speak.

He said in an introductory post... Final year of school, 4h, going into the army/military when graduated.

Ah. I must not have backtracked far enough for his intro. Military might be a problem if he's prone to correcting educating people. Drill sergeants. All I'm saying.

Hey everyone! Well finally have had time to read back posts! Been swamped! Tee glad your moms doing so much better! Rusty glad your surgery went well, hope you recover soon. Nova sounds like you had a hot time at chicken stock! I hate chasing runaway chickens, they are fast! I have chased my share trust me. Remember my first chick hatch and mamas got out of coop? Took me forever to catch them. And bantams are the fastest. I have new chicks, a mottly crew, bantams have 7 so far with more hatching. Got 3 marans with chicks to start hatching tomorrow, put ad in paper going to get rid of some of mine. Started out with 12 chickens in march now I have 40 not counting new chicks hatching. Have several Roos that gotta go. Wish I'd never got bantams, their eggs aren't worth the effort. Plus take up pens I could be using for big hens. So selling most of them. Sadie Louise is much better goes back to vet the 2nd to. See if she has to have surgery. Trailer is coming along. Got plumbing hooked up. Waiting on fire Marshall to inspect so we can get electric pole set and turned on. Hope everyone's doing great? Gigi how are you doin? And everyone else? Have great day.. Nova love the pictures.

I love my bantams. We eat their eggs, sell the big girls eggs.
