Fuzzy's Farm

YEs it is but it really wiped out a lot between whatever that was and the weather...but good news she has more about the same age as the one I had !!!!!! so maybe i will have SF back !!!! yay its a breed i have wanted since i started and since i met Derp on the other thread

I dont know what it was .. i know some of them were due to the water ... but some were sick and went fast ... im thinking i didnt quarantine long enough before introducing them into the brooders .... and didnt get the antibiotics to them fast enough

ty.. it hurt to lose so many so quick and not know why .... but we got the survivors quarantined and they seem to be doing better on antibiotics.. have cleaned and sterilzed all the other brooders except the one that is going on the wood pile... we moved it away from all the birds though just in case !!!

Are you sure there wasn't mold? Mold spores can sicken and kill too, especially i would think that would be true for babies! The rain would have worsened it. Also any sickness is worse if chilled, that's true of us too. :(

I know the ones that were in the big brooder got cold and we moved them and put them in the other run and coop with light ... they seemed better for a day or two then ... they slowly started dying .. no real symptoms just ok and dry then gone in the morning ... but mold could have been a possibility ...
