Fuzzy's Farm

The jerks even stole my neighbor's' gates. Disgusting.

Olive was/is my FRIEND. I am extremely sad that she is gone. She could be rough- but that is part of what made her who she was. If you needed to be told how it is, she was telling you. Like I said before- she called me a hypocrite. And guess what? She was correct. I DO indeed whine and complain about the conditions SOME animals are kept in for factory farming, yet buy my meat at the grocery store or in a restaurant. (hey pimento, if you are checking the board under spy-mode- look! I LEARNED to say 'some' and not generalize)
Did I like being told I was a hypocrite? Absolutely not. However, was what she told me the truth- no matter how much I didn't want to hear it? Absolutely. Olive is a hard-working farmer with another DAY job. She was/is one of the hardest working women I know PLUS she was knowledgable and helpful. I think those good traits far outweighed any roughness she could display. Robin and I werent her 'side-kicks' by chance, but by choice. We knew to look at the entire package and appreciate what a gift it was to have someone with sass, spunk, knowledge and willingness to share advice was on this board. Advice that was meant to help others with their farming/animal raising endeavors. Not just to fluff her post count and she never once pretended to be someone she wasn't.
She added spice to the board and never ever did a "woe is me" act. Its a shame that she is gone.
Gone from the board, not gone from me- not gone from Robin- and others I am sure. Just gone from sharing information and humor on the boards. Ive still got email and the visit that she and Robin and I have planned.

Just this week, someone found one of her old posts in the Geese forum and linked it in a new thread. Hilarious reading. *purple soccer ball*

X 2 Kim. 100% agree. You and I are 2 of the lucky ones in this. We still have her. We can still contact her and ask for her knowledge. In fact, I have since she has left here. I sure hope people realize what this site has lost.

There are people here who care. But unfortunately, the reality of it is, very few people care. And that is what makes it even sadder. SO, this leaves me to ask you, Robin, and you Kim, and on ocassion, I might even ask Opa when I am in want of advice that is important.

Well anyway... Today turned into a real crap askme day. I was on the route, and my brakes hit the floor. I was on the highway... Anyway, I just did a brake job, so it is not a brake problem there. I check all the wheels on the insides, nothing. I checked the master cylinder and it was low. I went to the gas station, slowly, got some dot 3, and added. Then I went and parked in a spot that was dry, and pumped the crap out of the brakes. Found it... In the dang line. At least my brakes will not be soaked with fluid... I kept at my route, kept the fluid filled. It took me almost 5 hours to do my route, but I got it done. Now the big problem, I forgot that my moms payment for her funeral insurance, so when I figured the money I needed for the LP, I left just enough money in the account for gas for the rest of the week for work and for any incedentals. SO, now I sit with 14 bucks, and leak in my brake line, and I swear if I don't get my child support check tomorrow, poop is going to hit the fan.

Oh, and now it is raining. WHOOPPEEE!

I have a section of fish tank air hose... I have clamps... I have a very redneck idea... I just need it to hold for a week... or two... Man... LOL. The other option is I cut the line, put a screw in the end, and a clamp over that, AND not need to hit the brakes hard.

Did you know, I have jerry rigged so much crap on my cars in my life, I bet I could write a book...
