Fuzzy's Farm

My MIL didn't sell any... bummer.
She sells her cross stitch and a lot of people pass her booth up because it is not something they are interested in anymore.
However, she does beautiful pictures from photos

Aw, that sucks. :( Those are really cool though! She's very talented! :) Craft shows are hard. We used to do that stuff, and sell antiques. People will love something one day and like something completely different the next. We had a lot better luck with an Etsy shop. (We made enough money 2 years to pay the gas and electric bill for a winter.) It's really easy to do. I think they charge .20 per listing, then you pay it all at the end of the month. You get a lot wider audience, and more people that are ready to buy specifically what you are selling. Maybe that would be something to look into? :)

I guess I'm not ready for winter...I'm crabby.

For gapeworm - to check to be sure they have it, hold them in your lap, and take a Q-tip - open their mouth, then gently and slowly push the q-tip back into the back of their mouth, whle rotating it. Do the same when bringing it back out. If they have gapes, you'll see them on the q-tip (they are very small/thin and appear to have TWO heads).

That is a great idea! I wasn't sure how etsy worked... I will look into it now!!!
Thanks!

It's easy. Plus it gives you all the statistics for free. How many people looked at what, what keywords they searched, and what search engines they used. The keywords are nice, because then you get an idea of what tags to use to get more people looking at your items. I think they might do another small monthly fee on top of the .20 but I might be wrong. We closed down the shop last year, and they've changed some things since then.... :)

They collect 3.5% of the sale too. That isn't so bad.
She enjoys going and socializing with new people... but she would save a ton of money by selling online... even if she just put an ad on CL.

I think we are all a little crabby Wynette... I am not ready for this cold stuff!!!

Off to research gape worm

Ok, I tried it last night but he threw a fit (like a little kid! He kept moving his tongue in the way.) so I just decided I'd do it today when he wasn't so stressed (big roos were being mean and he was kinda freaked out) I haven't gone out really this morning except to make sure he was still alive. He has kind of a dark red streak (looks like blood) down the middle of the roof of his mouth. It starts about halfway between the tip of his beak and the back of his mouth. As far as I can tell it goes down his throat......

Ms B Cut a long sleeve off a shirt and stretch it over his body with his head sticking out where the hand should go... You might even be able to stuff his feet in. That makes everything so much easier!

THat is odd. Were you able to get a really close look? Is it possible he has a foreign object lodged in his mouth somewhere?

Yeah, we still did flea market and stuff. It was fun. All the regulars had known my great grandma, and they knew us. Then you got to look at everyone else's stuff. And we could usually sell enough to pay for the trip and then a little. But a little doesn't pay the bills, so that's why we started selling stuff online. Plus we had so much stuff from when Grammie passed, there was just no way we could ever sell it all at a flea market......
