Okay, I'll put my foot in it because I do that regularly anyway - LOL! You've GOT to vote. So many people over the decades have died to give us that opportunity. And if you are a woman, it's even more serious. Check out what the suffragettes went through to give us that ability. Whether your dem or repub or something else, you've got to step up because when a country becomes apathetic about what they believe it's the first step toward unrest. We may not like the candidates but it's up to us to research their stands and pick what works. If you don't vote, you are allowing someone else to have power - whether that's a big corporation, a well-run campaign or a false television ad. And locally, it's important to have a voice in your state questions - many this year focus on funding for education and undoing taxes for corporations - both important issues. Okay, sorry, that's my soapbox. Everyone runs from me when it's election time...

Gigi, I won't run from you because I agree. DH has been telling me about the guys he works with who are all about this candidate or that, but when asked if they are voting, they aren't. It infuriates him and I have to say what is the point of saying anything about the candidates if you are just going to sit home and put your hopes (for whatever is on the ballot) on someone else's back.
