Fuzzy's Farm

I should have just opened her up... but... Well I didn't feel like it today...

I just had the scare of the day too! I was passing out treats and one of the fav boys was missing. I looked every where for the little turd and I thought maybe the fox found my birds... I was back in the woods looking for feathers, nothing. I was searching and searching for him for about 30 minutes. I came back and there he was. Rotten pranker.

Skeeter is definitely broody again. She's on 2 of her own eggs this time. I don't know who the daddy will be... Fritz has been buzy... Fibber has been buzy... and the boys are just learning how to get buzy. LOL. SO, they will be surprise chickens!

Hi Wynette!

How are you doing today Robin?

I am here...I am having a cranky day...
I have to make the boy a doc aptment tomorrow
He has a cough in the morning and at night...sometimes

BF thinks I am the worst mom ever because I have not taken him yet
I guess I am...I am always the wrong one

I am trying to be positive today. I found out last night that one of my wisdom teeth is breaking at the gum line. :(
Good news is that i had saved a bit from last check and had planned on saving some from the one coming, bad news is that was supposed to go for me buying a car :( Being a wisdom, and the type of break i'm assuming it will be considered impacted and have to be done surgically. :( Buh bye savings!

Sooooo that means i will have to sink at least $150 into DH's truck sometime really soon, it needs a tune up and at least some better used tires on the back. It also means my gas will be double......... but good news on this one is that DH's uncle agreed to water my birds for me in the mornings, and top off their food. He said he'd do it for free, because he misses having birds (aunt is the the one who insisted on eating all their birds) and he really enjoys hanging out with birds that he can get attached to :) I told him at least $50 a month because i think that's dirt cheap and i know he could use it. On the one hand it means more money lost, but i have been worried about water and now i know they are taken care of. Also, if i am busy working i don't have to go out there. I don't like it, but that tooth has to come out!

Moral of the rambling, i'm bummed but at least i know i have the $$ out of pocket to get it done. I truly am grateful, but feel kind of quiet.

Perhaps she was one of the ones who did badly in the heat, but didn't show as bad? If they overheated they will be weakened, and if their body thermostat got broke they can't stay warm. (I forgot the technical name, hypothalimus perhaps? ) I suspect there will be many "unknown" losses this year for that reason. :(
I had no idea the heat would hurt them in the winter. We had such a bad summer. Guess I'd better really keep an eye on the girls.

OOWww. That just hurts thinking about it. I'm so sorry, Fuzzy.

Found out today I'm having 27 for Thanksgiving. Ouch. My own fault for telling everyone that 'y'all come on out'...

I need some dental work done too... I probably need all 4 wisdom teeth removed... that leaves 4 cavities that need to be filled...
I haven't been to a dentist since I was maybe 12... maybe younger

I hate going... and parents never took me.

DS should go soon too... just to get use to the whole dentist thing and maybe get a cleaning.

I'VE GOT NOOOOOO MONEY HONEY (love that song)

Byfm, you are a good mom. Every time your DS has been sick, you've been telling us what you're doing for him. Not taking him to the doctor means nothing. If I learned anything with my 3, I know that the doctor will just pat your hand, suggest a medicine and send you on your way unless it's something mega serious. That's why I don't run to the doctor for anything unless they are for things I know are beyond what I can do myself for them.

Fuzzy, I took my oldest daughter to the dentist today and her wisdom teeth are moving up against her molars so they are going send her to an oral surgeon at the end of the school year to have them done. Sooner if they seem to get worse before then. As for breaking the gum line, when I was in my 20s, my dentist saw that one of my wisdoms had broken the gum line, but I didn't know that. Had no pain at all which surprised the dentist. They pulled it out no problem, but sent me to the surgeon for the other because its root got hooked around a nerve.
byfm, coincidentally, my daughter also has 4 cavities which she will be getting taken care of next week. Other than that, they assured me her teeth looked great and then proceeded to load her up on supplies.
