gagging chick

I have a 2 day old chick that is gagging constantly. He isn't eating. What do I do?

I am so sorry about your chick. Sounds like something is stuck in the pipe. You will want to post this in our emergency section and or our raising chicks section for help with your little one....

Welcome to BYC. Have someone hold the chick, and gently open it's beak - check to make certain that there is not a foreign object stuck in it's throat. If something is in there, gently but firmly remove it with a pair of tweezers. Good luck at resolving this.

Try an eye dropper and drop little drops of water on the beak to see if you can dislodge what ever is stuck ...
