Gagging chick

I have a 2 day old chick that is constantly gagging and won't eat because of it. What do I do.

Can you explain a little about what, exactly, it is that the chick is doing - "gagging" can mean a lot of things to different people, and it would be helpful to know what is going on in offering any input on what is wrong.

It's almost like its choking on something but I checked inside his beak and I couldn't see anything.

If it were me, I would very carefully try dipping its beak in the water every so often to ensure that it drinks and maybe it will move whatever it is down.
