Gaggle of Geese Lovers

This picture was taken a year or so ago by my husband - I'm dead asleep in it. I was having a bad migraine day and didn't want to spend it in bed, so I dragged a river tube outside and flopped down on it. As a kid, when I'd feel ill I'd lay outside in a pile of all my stuffed animals and try to sleep the pain away, so I guess this is my adult version of that.

Does anyone else have geese that seem to tone things down when you're not feeling well, or is this something I'm probably just imagining through headache haze? I feel like they're quieter and give softer nibbles on migraine days.

When I’ve been sick sometimes laying out on the lawn in the sun makes me feel a little better and my geese have all settled in around me like that. Geese are very sweet and empathetic and I know that they can tell when we aren’t feeling well and form a circle to protect and comfort their human.

I have 2 2year old pilgrims that I learned how to raise thanks to you all here.
They are so lovable and a "bit" possessive. No other pets can be around me. My goose is so clever, sweet kind eyes, but she is always scheming the next step: how to get to the front porch, swiftly and stealthly...she is very hefty and she does "amphibious flight", screams from the top of her lungs calling the gander like she is on top of the sky, but she can barely lift over 1/4 inch off the ground for 1 second.
She can't stand that my gander is an awesome "pilot"! He is slender, beautiful and has excellent maneuverability on air!
Amazing intelligence couple with superior stubborness and mischevious personality. It must me the true "mother's love" to embrace these characteristics.
😆

How sweet! I'm not willing to test this out though! My gander has a pretty strong bite even when he's just checking your fingers out so my gloves tell me.
