My husband was the one most skeptical about getting geese, but one of our first Toulouse goslings chose him and it was all over! Sunday, his gander would ride on the tractor with him sometimes and is usually the protector of ducklings and goslings, but only yellow ones.

So cute! How funny that he only likes yellow babies. My Buffs are the same way. They won't raise the Pomeranian babies. And they were very weird about the Blue ones.

Anyone have any idea what this is at the base of my gooses' beak? The one on the top of her knob has been there awhile, I had just assumed it was from rubbing against the pen wire when she was getting bullied before i separated the ganders. I dontnl know how she could of rubbed the creases of her beak though. I was thinking of putting neosporin w/o pain relief on it. The feathers around her eyes are looking pretty thin too.

I’d try the antibiotic ointment on her knob. I can’t see anything on her bill.

@yesterDAYNE I’m not sure what this is but I can come up with a few guesses.

It could be mites.
It could be a bacterial infection of the skin.
It could a reaction to something, like an allergy.

Not yet. Have eggs in the incubator and they're about 14 days in.
