GAH! 102 degrees?

Aw thanks guys! You know, I should have known this already but it's my first batch myself without guidance other than the internet and my own homemade incubator. I am really pleased at how well it's coming along. Eggs can take a lot of abuse, my freind once borrowed an incubator from another guy, and filled it with eggs, turned it on, and left it in his basement. By the time I found out about it they were two weeks in... I told them about temperature, humidity, and turning the eggs2-3 times a day. So I helped them get the incubator set right..they were incubating at 96 degrees...got some water in a dish in the bator, and turned the eggs for for them. about three days before hatching I told them to stop and wait now. out of all 40 eggs only one hatched. But I was amazed that one did, because of all the ignorance involved..It died a couple days later.

yep your fine, Just remember, for every 10 degrees of outside temp change, your incubator can change a degree. It's best, if at all possible, to keep them indoors in a climate controlled environment.
I actually unplugged one this year, needed the socket to plug up the candler, got side tracked and didnt notice I forgot to plug it back up til the next evening, it was 80! about half way threw the cycle, every single one still hatched. I thought for sure , that long , that cold, they'd be goners, got lucky there!

pips&peeps :

You need to keep your incubator in a location where the outside (outside the bator) temperature does not fluctuate more than 10 degrees.

Yes I know, it's in the living room. The outside temp that changed the most was outside the house. It has affected the whole house, kinda hard to control the weather lol.
