Gah! Need to rant!- Sad story with pics :(

You're doing the right thing. And, in a way, you did save her. You and your mom saved her from that horrible life she knew before. She is happy and safe, now. You've done the right thing. *lots of hugs*

This may end sadly for you and your family, but there is no better gift than giving to others. You are giving this poor girl warth, love, kindness, all the things that make life good. She hasn't had someone that cared for her like you are in a long time. It wouldn't hurt if you weren't a caring person. Hugs for ALL of you!

So Animal control did some sniffing around, and long story short, Annie is not with us anymore. The owners daughter and her husband have taken in the dog with their own pup already aquainted with her. She is going to be living INDOORS with them until they get her to the vet to hopefully decide what is right for her. They are caring people I can tell, so I know she will be loved for Christmas :)
Annie, you may have only been in my home for a day, but you will forever be in my heart

I'm sorry. RIP Annie.

I honestly don't know... I don't think so, she will most likely be put down after Christmas though. Please don't think me a cruel person but I would like it if she was put to sleep.... She is such a sweet dog that should not have to go through a painful treatment that will most likely kill her anyways :'( Not only that, she would be living out those days in a vets cage. My family could have left Annie at the vets after her check up til Animal control could bring her to a foster home, but the worker and I didn't want to lock her in a cage. That's why we brought Annie home... Anyways, I could tell the owners daughter was a kind person, so I know Annie will be loved and given what she deserves.

SO sorry

Poor Anne but at least somebody out their is thinking about her care for once. I hate to see a dog going through that and she sounds so sweet it breaks my heart.

So I got Back from the vets.... Annie has severe allergies and cataracts, shes almost completely blind. She also have Diabetes, and is not a good candidate for treatment.... So she will spend Christmas with us, and then the Humane Society will make the decision to have her euthanized... I am very upset because I thought she could be saved... But at least she will spend the holiday in a warm, loving home...

Aw! I'm so sorry! That is heart-breaking. I understand you not wanting to let her suffer any more than she already has, though. What a nice thing you did for her!
