GAHHH!!!! THe batcholor pad was dug under!!!

:thun UPDATE :thun

The coon was caught in action at another one of the coops but ran off before it could be disposed of!! This time it found a weak spot behind the hutch and dug a huge long hole to get inside and pulled out a bird! My dad said he got outside just a bit too late and it ran off.

I have a plan and THIS IS WAR! :thun

good luck in your hunt, rambo silkie.

Silkie, have you tried that cement thing I posted about? Pouring the dry stuff just on the outside of the run... then spraying it with water? The ground becomes so hard that you cannot dig under it.

Hope this helps... or if not, at least maybe someone else can use the info.

See, thats the main problem. I can't logically cement down anything since I need to move the coops to grow the veggies under. Throwing down cement every few months and then digging it all back up is just not logical.

I blame the blight due to the cutting down of all the forested lands behind our property and driving all the wildlife out onto our land!!! They don't have anything to eat anymore because of those darned fire hazard developments. (literally fire hazards as fire trucks Cannot get into them and the "condos" are too close together to put ladders between the houses up to the windows...) It's not the predators fault but I'll take care of it. No poisons and no release is the way I am going to go. I'm headed home tonight to deal with it.

Ah, yes that makes sense. I should have read through the whole post before blurting out stuff!

Too bad everyone is cutting down the beautiful trees and messing with mother nature.

WOOO!!!! One coon down and the rest of it's family to go! My brother just checked the live trap by one of the coops the chickens were freaking out by and Mr. Coon is in it! I know that is just one and there are others. Will post live pic if I get one soon! I have a feeling this is going to be a long trapping season.

Edit: Here's the link to the pic since this computer doesn't have much software to resize.
He's so cute...
