Dour watched the mare closely; he was trying to keep track of all his mares. At the same time, he was alert for other studs, having lost his herd once before.
 
Violet looked around. I'm out of Dour's view she realized. The mare felt a weird feeling in her that was telling her to go away for a few hours, or, as one could say, explore. The mare trotted over the border of Dour's territory, and, without knowing it, trotted directly towards Titan's.

Dour had noticed Violet distancing herself. When she left his view, he followed at a slow pace. Wandering mares made him extremely nervous now.
