Gypsy slowed down, and snorted. Her ears pinned flat against her head. "What is she doing here?!" She snorted threateningly. Kaliska tossed her head. "She has an offer for you mom. A very good one." She nickered. Gypsy stamped a hoof. "It better be." She stared at Dalyla with peircing blue - green eyes.Dalyla snorted and perked her ears. She came to a quick halt, alert and ready to listen.

Dalyla's ears fell back slightly as she came closer to Gypsy, arching her neck down a bit to the lead mare's level. "It is indeed," she added, her voice emotionless. She cleared her throat, her mouth quite dry from a lack of hydration. "Maybe it, uh, would be best if your daughter explained."
Kaliska opened her mouth about to speak, but Gypsy interrupted. "I would like to hear it from you." Gypsy snorted. "Or do you not want to share your offer?"Dalyla's ears fell back slightly as she came closer to Gypsy, arching her neck down a bit to the lead mare's level. Dalyla snorted in response, her ears falling back a little more and tailing flicking. She licked her lips. "Very well then," she said. "I am a lone mare traveling with three others. We have not seen clean water for several days until we came across a fertile strip of your land containing a very nice length of river, and we have spoken with each other and decided we would like to settle the area in exchange for our services. All four of us are willing to produce offspring for your herd, as well as serve as allies."
Gypsy was shocked by her offer. "I um." She nickered. Then she straightened. "You need to speak with my mate. He should be close by." Gypsy turned, and belted out a shrill whinny.Dalyla snorted in response, her ears falling back a little more and tailing flicking. She licked her lips. "Very well then," she said. Vanner bolted to them, his head high, and his tail streaming behind him. He straightened, when he saw Dalyla and flattened his ears slightly.Dalyla sighed, waiting. Her thirst felt as if it was going to eat her alive.

"I will repeat myself once again," she huffed. "I travel in a small nomadic herd with three other mares. We have not seen fresh water for several days until stumbling across a lush area at the edge of your territory with exactly what we have been looking for, and we have spoken with each other and decided we would like to settle the area in exchange for our services. All four of us are willing to produce offspring for your herd, as well as serve as allies, etcetera, etcetera, and etcetera." Dalyla appeared to be rather weary of repeating herself over and over, letting out a little bit of a yawn.
Vanner nodded, musing her offer over. He liked the idea of having more mares in his herd. "I would like to meet these other mares." He said calmly. "At the river. As soon as you get them.""I will repeat myself once again," she huffed. "I travel in a small nomadic herd with three other mares.
