Onyx nodded. Already the sun was beating down on them and Onyx coat was turning a deeper black than before. "Sheesh, it's already hot." He muttered, and shook his mane. "Lets go to that territory, and find some shade."

Clarisse jumped and gave a squeak of surprise at the angry sound. "Mama!" she wailed. Marcy took a breath of air. "Other horses won't bother us, sweetie, unless they are stallions," she said. "All the same, we should probably get going..."

Sahara leaped away from the waters edge, and stared at the other mare and foal. Rain looked up too, and snorted uncertainly. "Hello." She nickered, bowing her head in respect.

Champ sidled up closer to her. "I'd like you too." He nickered, and nosed her softly with his nose.
