I am looking forward to a picture of your new chick. Congratulations on the new baby. I do agree that a broody hen is the best incubator. I don't think that you will have any problems raising the chicks together. When chicks are this young they haven't established any kind of pecking order yet. So I think that you can add chicks together for several weeks and not have any problems. My family and I are wishing you and your family the best. Christina

here we are as promised, actually, my phone getting *hang* when i too the pics and when i transferred it to my com but i keep trying, i don't want to disappoint or worse accused as liar

to delay pics i was promised before so i try hard to get it. just get it 3 hours ago from coop, oh, it's night here now, we have almost 12 hours difference from US time.

first time i open the nest door, i hope you all still remember the pics my flock (they're only few), if not, refer to old post to see her image when she's still young. oh, her *naked* body is done by my mean roo (he's quite more gentler now).

i saw bright yellow fluff at right side of momma hen body

the shy baby come up

well, he's *sounding* and make the momma hen get mad of me

that's it.

and the other good news, i peeping 1 egg under her, i saw a little hole

i'm gonna have 1 other baby tomorrow, how glad i'm when saw it.

i'm increasing security baricade to prevent my dog gain access to backyard where the coop located, he will be regret if he ever kill my village chicks.

i feel glad and free after share them with you all since no one here love to hear or see about my flock

Congratulations Mulia on the new chicks. I know you have wanted them for a long time and my heart rejoices to see that you finally have them. I also have the problem of others not wanting to talk chickens all the time. Neither my friends nor family understand why I love them. We have both found a place that we fit here on the BYC board.

Hello, Mulia. I am sorry to hear you were sick. Uticaria is not an easy thing to live with. It made me crazy when I had it -- I had the bumps from my feet to my waist! I hope being stuck at home did not cause difficulties with your college studies.

What a very nice car sales website you made! I really like the way you have vehicles scrolling from right to left in the box to the right of the movie and the way they stop scrolling when you mouseover them. The site's pages are well-organized, and each page is also well-organized. Navigating around the site is easy and the pages aren't cluttered with images that confuse and tire the eye. The graphic bar at the top is very pretty. I like how you have some of the swirls extending beyond the vertical egde of the green rectangle. I like the way the lower edge of the rectangle disappears behind the translucent bar and the rectangle's gradient is a nice touch.
I really like the Toyota Camry you're "selling." I love Camrys. How many Buff Orpingtons would you trade for one?

BargainCity is also very well-done. These are the things I like: the revolving planet icon in the browser's address bar, the logo, the option to change font size, the clock, news feed which shows a summary of the news on mouseover, currency converter, shoutbox and the list of current visitors. I also like the way the pages are laid out because they aren't confusing to the eye, and the site's organization. I hope you and Marini get good marks for these assignments.

Congratulations on your villiage chicken babies! I know you wanted village chickens very much. I had an extremely busy December but I was wondering how your eggs were doing. I was hoping you had been away from BYC because of college and not because your dog caused bad problems again for your chickens.

@ Cindiloohoo : sadly i did not see any further sign, i missed that one

so the chicks from 2 broody are only 3 chicks, but well, this is their first time hatching, beside, many problem they face start from hard rain pouring my coop till my dog invading the coop and attack them.

@ new2chooks : thanks kelly, unfortunately no, the dog keep try and try to go to my backyard area but my baricade seem to be good enough to hold him back for now.

got chicks from eggs produced by my own hen and hatched by my hens.

@ justbugged : well, unfortunately i don't, the other eggs (how to say this word???) being tread by the hen and *ruin*. got so many liquid flooded the nest box and totally 3 chicks from 2 hens. never mind, glad to have them. thank you christina.

@ lngrid : but it did, i got a lot of tasks when i back to college.

1 word to describe it.... horrible. yes, they did spread so fast, almost all my body being covered by that red dot and they started *joining* but after i put medicine, in the morning whole of that were vanished, and the only left are red dot on hands and legs. but now all has been cured.

wew, is that true independent review or not?

if yes then the score should be high

whenever i browse the web, i always found much sites have better (too much better) design then mine. i just wondering why can't i build 1 like that?

thank you so much, of coure i've been waiting for them for so long, they're naughty little chicks, i'm a little disappointed for them, because they're not so friendly like my arabic breed chicken, i guess this is because of they're being hatched by hen so they imprint only with the hen. my arabic breed chicken are really friendly with me, never run away from me. that's true, i've started getting better handling the dog. many tasks await me when i back to college.

i'll post newest pics of the whole flock soon ( i hope i can do it tomorrow)

Can you strap the eggs to your body, somewhere you won't crush them by mistake like against your chest? You'd want to use a light fabric that will let air through so the eggs can breathe.

Women have successfully incubated eggs for 3 wks in their bras; I see no reason why a man couldn't do the same as long as your daily activities and life allow you to keep the egg on you 24/7 and not break it.

Actually I suppose you could leave it in the incubator when the electricity is on, and just transfer it to a wrap holding it against your body when the power is off.
